This position is responsible for providing instructional leadership, guidance, and support to ensure the delivery of high-quality education in alignment with network goals, policies, and standards. The Dean of Instruction collaborates with school administrators, teachers, and staff to foster a culture of continuous improvement, professional development, and student achievement.</p><p><strong>&#xa0;</strong>As a KIPP New Orleans Dean of Instruction, your core responsibilities include:</p><p><strong>Instructional Leadership:</strong></p><ul><li><p>Provide visionary leadership in curriculum implementation, instructional strategies, and assessment practices.</p></li><li><p>Ensure alignment of curriculum implementation with organizational, state, and district standards, incorporating best practices and research-based pedagogy.</p></li><li><p>Lead efforts to improve teaching and learning by monitoring and evaluating instructional programs.</p></li></ul><p><strong>Professional Development:</strong></p><ul><li><p>Develop and implement professional development plans for teachers and instructional staff to enhance their skills and knowledge.</p></li><li><p>Facilitate ongoing training and coaching opportunities for educators to improve instructional effectiveness.</p></li><li><p>Promote a culture of collaboration and reflection among teaching staff.</p></li></ul><p><strong>Data Analysis:</strong></p><ul><li><p>Collect, analyze, and interpret student performance data to identify areas of improvement and implement data-driven strategies.</p></li><li><p>Collaborate with data teams to monitor progress and adjust instructional plans as necessary.</p></li><li><p>Use data to make informed decisions regarding curriculum adjustments, interventions, and resource allocation.</p></li></ul><p><strong>Curriculum Implementation and Alignment:</strong></p><ul><li><p>Oversee the development, implementation, evaluation, and alignment of curriculum materials, instructional resources, and assessments.</p></li><li><p>Collaborate with department heads and curriculum committees to ensure curriculum coherence and relevance.</p></li><li><p>Keep abreast of educational trends and research to continually improve curriculum and instructional practices.</p></li></ul><p><strong>School Improvement:</strong></p><ul><li><p>Collaborate with school leaders to develop and implement school improvement plans that support student achievement and growth.</p></li><li><p>Provide guidance and support to schools in identifying, implementing, and monitoring best practices for academic success.</p></li><li><p>Encourage a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within schools.</p></li></ul><p><strong>Assessment and Evaluation:</strong></p><ul><li><p>Lead the development and implementation of assessment systems to evaluate student progress and teacher effectiveness.</p></li><li><p>Provide constructive feedback and support to educators, aligning evaluations with professional growth goals.</p></li><li><p>Ensure the fair and consistent application of evaluation procedures.</p></li></ul><p><strong>Engagement:</strong></p><ul><li><p>Foster positive relationships with parents, community members, and other stakeholders to promote understanding and support for district educational goals.</p></li><li><p>Collaborate with regional and school leaders to communicate instructional initiatives and achievements.</p></li></ul><p>&#xa0;</p>",
