We currently have an opportunity for an <strong>Environmental Health & Safety Engineer </strong>to join our team located in Louisville, KY. </p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p><strong>Your Role: </strong></p>\n<p>The Environmental, Health, and Safety is responsible for identifying, assessing, and managing potential hazards and risks to RCP’s employees and environment.  The EHS Engineer is responsible for developing and implementing programs and procedures to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations related to environmental heath and safety.  This position will also assist the EHS Manager and staff in promoting a safety-conscious work force and good safety practices. Will assist in providing expert input into problem-solving and implementation relative to those hazards; and monitoring and continually improving the performance of Health and Safety Management Systems.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p> </p>\n<strong>You will have the opportunity to Make Great Things Happen!</strong>\n<ul>\n <li>Develop, implement, and maintain EHS programs and processes.</li>\n <li>Conduct regular facility inspections and risk assessments.</li>\n <li>Train employees on EHS policies and procedures</li>\n <li>Investigate incidents and accidents and recommend corrective actions. </li>\n <li>Prepare and maintain EHS-related reports and documentation.</li>\n <li>Say up-to-date on applicable regulations and standards.</li>\n <li>Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to promote EHS awareness and continuous improvement.</li>\n <li>Participate in injury/incident investigations to assist in identifying root cause analysis and provide recommendations to prevent re-occurrences.</li>\n <li>Conduct month-end tank inventories which may require occasional weekend or holiday work.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>You will love it here if… </strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>You put safety first, always </li>\n <li>You listen, learn, and evolve </li>\n <li>You are passionate about collaboration, teamwork, and achieving shared goals </li>\n <li>You treat all people with respect, operating ethically, and embrace inclusivity</li>\n <li>You are committed to improving our impact on local communities</li>\n</ul> \n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>We need you to have: </strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Bachelor’s degree in Safety Sciences, Environmental Science or related field, or an equivalent combination of experience and education which has imparted the required knowledge.</li>\n <li>5+ years of experience in progressively responsible EHS positions.</li>\n <li>Previous working experience with Title V air permits and government regulations regarding air emissions.</li>\n <li>Demonstrated professional with passion for change and relentless focus on execution.</li>\n <li>Knowledge of applicable Federal, State, and local environmental regulations and procedures.</li>\n <li>Strong communication skills, analytical skills, problem solving and creative skills to deal both objectively and empathetically with organizational and labor/management issues.</li>\n <li>Effective human relation skills, including the ability to influence, persuade and/or motivate people.</li>\n <li>Proficient in MS Office Suite.</li>\n <li>Self-directed with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple accountabilities and multiple internal customers. </li>\n <li>Strong organizational skills as well as project management capabilities with the ability to organize and manage multiple projects simultaneously from origin through execution. </li>\n <li>Ability to work a flexible schedule during key business deadlines.</li>\n <li>Must be team-oriented with the ability to work on high collaboration and performance teams.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Icing on the cake: </strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Advanced degree.</li>\n <li>Appropriate professional certifications.</li>\n <li>Experience with industrial hygiene.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>If you answer yes to the following…we want to meet you!</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Intellectual Curiosity: Do you have an inquisitive nature?</li>\n <li>Problem Solving: Do you have a knack for tackling issues head-on?  </li>\n <li>Entrepreneurship: Do you enjoy taking ownership of your work? </li>\n <li>Customer Centricity: Do you always act in the best interests of the customer, putting their needs first?  </li>\n <li>Growth Mindset: Do you focus on progress rather than perfection? </li>\n <li>Continuous Improvement: Are you never satisfied with the status quo?  </li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Want to know more?
