The Plant Superintendent assists in the development of production goals and drives continuous improvement throughout the entire operation. &nbsp;The Plant Superintendent reports to the Plant Manager and provides an interface with the Maintenance, Quality, and other functional departments as needed.</p>\n<p><b>What you get to do:</b></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Ensure standards for quality, safety and productivity are met by all teams in facility</li>\n <li>Meet or exceed metrics / goals centered on the following: production schedule, operational downtime goals, and percentage of second-grade material.</li>\n <li>Maintain a multi-skilled workforce with effective cross-training to ensure team members can assist in multiple areas</li>\n <li>Create and manage an optimal schedule of all teams to minimize overtime while ensuring productivity &nbsp;</li>\n <li>Effectively manage inventory variances to optimal levels</li>\n <li>Partner with all plant staff and coach, mentor and guide in a productive and helpful manner</li>\n <li>Be a key problem solver for issues with team members, process, equipment and systems</li>\n <li>Identify and resolve personal or performance issues within the team that may lead to disruption or lack of productivity.&nbsp;Create quick and effective solutions to address these issues and keep operations&nbsp; moving</li>\n <li>Understand company policies and be able to answer employee questions</li>\n <li>Develop your team members professionally with a formal plan, effective communication and coaching to get them to the next level in their career</li>\n <li>Follow up effectively on any pending issue and continue to do so through resolution</li>\n <li>Create a culture of accountability, where blame is not placed on others</li>\n <li>Conduct regular feedback sessions to ensure team members ideas, issues and other input can be shared and follow on this input</li>\n</ul>\n<p><b>The skills and experience you bring to our team:</b></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Minimum of 5 years’ experience in leading a team of managers</li>\n <li>Statistical Process Control: Ability to effectively use metrics / data to make effective decisions</li>\n</ul>\n<p><b>Preferred:</b></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Lean Manufacturing Principles knowledge and experience such as 5S&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Bilingual skills (Spanish and English) highly desired</li>\n</ul>\n<p><b>Take a peek behind the cultural curtain at Polyglass!&nbsp; </b><a href=\"https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7qG07JonFnw\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\"><b>Life at Polyglass</b></a></p>\n<p>&nbsp;</p>",
