The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the efficiency, safety, and reliability of traffic management systems, including traffic signals, dynamic message signs, cameras, network equipment and other ITS infrastructure. This position will work with contractors to install new devices, train users how to operate them, as well as perform periodic maintenance of all types of Intelligent Transportation Systems and TAPCO Made products. A background in computers and networking, AC/DC electrical systems and fiber optics is preferred.</p><p data-start=\"121\" data-end=\"162\" data-pasted=\"true\"><strong data-start=\"121\" data-end=\"162\">Essential Duties and Responsibilities:</strong></p><ul data-start=\"165\" data-end=\"1200\" data-is-last-node=\"\"><li data-start=\"165\" data-end=\"271\"><p data-start=\"167\" data-end=\"271\">Perform installation, maintenance, and repairs to a wide variety of electronic, computer, communication, network and other systems.</p></li><li data-start=\"165\" data-end=\"271\"><p data-start=\"167\" data-end=\"271\">Safely operate related tools and equipment.</p></li><li data-start=\"165\" data-end=\"271\"><p data-start=\"167\" data-end=\"271\">Operate related computer systems and software.</p></li><li data-start=\"165\" data-end=\"271\"><p data-start=\"167\" data-end=\"271\">Provide technical phone support to customers, contractors, distributors and TAPCO employees.&nbsp;</p></li><li data-start=\"165\" data-end=\"271\"><p data-start=\"167\" data-end=\"271\">Troubleshoot and repair equipment including diagnosing electronic failures to the board level.</p></li><li data-start=\"165\" data-end=\"271\"><p data-start=\"167\" data-end=\"271\">Maintain accurate records and prepare field reports.</p></li><li data-start=\"165\" data-end=\"271\"><p data-start=\"167\" data-end=\"271\">Communicate effectively; establish and maintain effective working relationships with other employees, contractors, and customers.&nbsp;</p></li><li data-start=\"165\" data-end=\"271\"><p data-start=\"167\" data-end=\"271\">Implement and manage software and firmware changes.
