We are seeking a skilled and motivated Drainage Engineer with 4 to 6 years of experience to join our team and support transportation and public works projects across the state. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to impactful infrastructure projects by designing and analyzing complex drainage systems and stormwater management solutions. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong commitment to quality, efficiency, and innovative design, working closely with clients such as the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) and various municipal agencies. What you will do: Develop and design drainage systems for transportation and municipal infrastructure projects. Collaborate with TxDOT and municipal clients to understand project requirements and deliver tailored solutions. Utilize OpenRoads Designer (ORD) for designing, modeling, and analyzing drainage systems. Conduct hydrologic and hydraulic analyses to ensure effective stormwater management. Prepare technical reports, drawings, and specifications for project documentation. Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate drainage solutions into overall project plans. Ensure compliance with relevant standards, codes, and regulations throughout project execution. Who you are: You are a critical thinker with excellent analysis and problem-solving abilities. You are accomplished at oral and written communication with exceptional listening and comprehension skills. You have above average computer literacy and technical capabilities. Collaboration is a part of your DNA, and you enjoy working with others to accomplish goals and deliver excellent customer results. What you bring: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field. Valid Professional Engineer (PE) license required. 4–6 years of experience in drainage and stormwater management design, preferably in transportation or public works projects. Proficiency in OpenRoads Designer (ORD) is preferred. Strong knowledge of hydrologic and hydraulic modeling techniques. Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines effectively. Knowledge of local and federal regulations related to stormwater and drainage systems. The things about us you will appreciate!
