Additional responsibilities include supervising and teaching residents and medical students. Experience in medical education is preferred. The faculty member will join three established adolescent medicine physicians and a large group of academic general pediatricians. The applicant will be part of the Emory University’s Department of Pediatrics, the Division of General Pediatrics and Adolescent Medicine, and the Section on Adolescent Medicine. Vibrant city with affordable cost of living and easy access to the world’s busiest airport Opportunities Include: Teaching medical students and residents. Customizable schedule with opportunities for LARC placement, school-based health, HIV medicine, and primary care Multidisciplinary clinical practice with a diverse patient population supported by a nutritionist, social workers, therapists and psychologists in both community and academic settings Initiating and participating in clinical research and quality improvement projects. Additional Information: Competitive salary Academic rank commensurate with experience. Ample opportunities to participate in scholarly projects and apply for institutional research funds. Professional development stipends provided. Unique opportunity to enroll in Emory’s Junior Faculty Development Program, designed to assist junior faculty in achieving a successful and fulfilling academic career. This position is perfect for the person interested in helping to develop a) a strong adolescent medicine clinical program in a large healthcare system, b) additional adolescent medicine experiences for trainees, c) multidisciplinary clinical venues for adolescents with complex healthcare needs, and d) interfacing with community groups interesting in improving adolescent health. NOTE: Position tasks are generally required to be performed in-person at an Emory University location. Remote work from home day options may be granted at department discretion.
