They will also provide for the personal needs and comfort of people in their own homes.</p>\n<h2>External Job Description</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Responsibilities will include:\n  <ul>\n   <li>Personal care needs</li>\n   <li>Mouth and denture care</li>\n   <li>Shaving</li>\n   <li>Finger and toe nail care (no cutting)</li>\n   <li>Grooming hair- shampooing, combing, oiling</li>\n   <li>Bathing or bed bath-shower or tub (partial or complete)</li>\n   <li>Helps with dressing</li>\n   <li>Helps with toileting-bed pan, commode/chair, or urinal (emptying and cleaning)</li>\n   <li>Reminds waiver participant to take medication</li>\n   <li>Helps with eating and feeding if needed</li>\n   <li>Transferring or changing the waiver participant’s body position</li>\n   <li>Helps in ambulation</li>\n   <li>Provide companionship</li>\n  </ul></li>\n <li>Provide the following housekeeping tasks:\n  <ul>\n   <li>Assures that rooms are clean and in order</li>\n   <li>Prepares shopping lists</li>\n   <li>Purchases and stores groceries</li>\n   <li>Prepares and serves meals</li>\n   <li>Laundering, ironing, sweeping, mopping, and dusting</li>\n   <li>Run errands</li>\n   <li>Providing assistance/supervision during community outings</li>\n   <li>Cleans and operates equipment in the home such as the vacuum cleaner, stove, refrigerator, washer, dryer, and small appliances</li>\n   <li>Changes linen and makes the bed</li>\n   <li>Cleans the kitchen, including washing dishes, pots, and pans</li>\n  </ul></li>\n <li>Provide compassionate companionship to patients</li>\n <li>Other duties as assigned</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Must be 18 years of age or older.</li>\n <li>Must be a high school graduate, have a GED, or demonstrate the ability to read the written personal care services assignment and write adequately to complete required forms and reports of visits.</li>\n <li>Must demonstrate the ability to work well with aged and disabled individuals who have limitedfunctioning capacity;</li>\n <li>Ability to communicate both verbal and written.</li>\n <li>Capable of working responsibly with confidential information.</li>\n <li>Must be able to work independently.</li>\n <li>Must maintain current and active first aid and CPR certification;</li>\n <li>Be physically able to perform the job tasks required and assurance that communicable diseases of major public health concern are not present, as verified by a physician;</li>\n <li>Have interest in and empathy for, people who are ill, elderly, or disabled;</li>\n <li>Be emotionally mature and able to respond to participants and situations in a responsible manner;</li>\n <li>Have good communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to deal effectively, assertively, and cooperatively with a variety of people;</li>\n <li>Must not have been convicted of a crime substantially related to the dependent population or any violent crime;</li>\n <li>Must be able to recognize the signs of abuse, neglect and/or exploitation and the procedures to follow as required in the Vulnerable Adult Act; and</li>\n <li>Must have knowledge of how to prevent burns, falls, fires; and emergency numbers to contact emergency personnel if required.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>About our Line of Business</h2>\n<p>All Ways Caring HomeCare delivers quality, compassionate, and individualized care and support that helps people in need of assistance stay at home – all while maximizing their dignity, privacy, and independence.
