This role includes planning and coordinating preventive maintenance, responding to equipment breakdowns, supervising maintenance staff, and ensuring compliance with safety standards.</p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong></p><ul><li>Supervise daily maintenance activities, ensuring all equipment is operating safely and efficiently.</li><li>Lead, train, and mentor a team of maintenance technicians and millwrights.</li><li>Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules for sawmill equipment including saws, conveyors, kilns, planers, debarkers, and other production machinery.</li><li>Coordinate repairs and troubleshooting during equipment failures or unplanned downtime.</li><li>Maintain accurate maintenance records, reports, and inventory of parts and tools.</li><li>Ensure compliance with workplace safety regulations and promote a culture of safety and accountability.</li><li>Work closely with production management to minimize downtime and improve overall equipment effectiveness (OEE).</li><li>Manage maintenance budgets, vendors, and contractors when necessary.</li><li>Recommend and implement improvements for mechanical systems and equipment reliability.</li><li>Respond to emergency maintenance situations after hours as needed.</li><li><strong>Qualifications:</strong></li><li>High school diploma or GED required; technical certification or associate&rsquo;s degree in mechanical/electrical maintenance or a related field preferred.</li><li>5+ years of industrial maintenance experience, preferably in a sawmill or wood products manufacturing environment.</li><li>2+ years of supervisory or team lead experience.</li><li>Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.</li><li>Ability to read technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.</li><li>Excellent organizational, leadership, and communication skills.</li><li>Proficient with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) and Microsoft Office Suite.</li><li>Understanding of OSHA regulations and industrial safety practices.</li><li><strong>Working Conditions:</strong></li><li>Work is performed in a sawmill environment with exposure to loud noise, dust, and machinery.</li><li>Requires standing, walking, climbing, and lifting (up to 50 lbs) on a regular basis.</li><li>May involve shift work, weekends, or on-call availability.</li></ul><p>SAFETY</p><ul><li>Follow all area/machine center specific safety regulations</li><li>Wear all required personal protective equipment: hardhat, hearing protection, etc&hellip;</li><li>Do not enter restricted areas</li><li>Immediately remedy unsafe conditions, investigate, take appropriate actions/next steps and report to Human Resources/Safety Manager</li><li>Request assistance when a task exceeds individual knowledge</li><li>Visually inspect equipment and area before starting/operating</li><li>Whenever possible, eliminate unsafe conditions as soon as possible</li><li>Use Standard Lockout Procedures when appropriate for machine centers</li><li>Use proper lifting technique by pushing, pulling and lifting with your legs and not your back</li><li>Never approach a saw while it is still running</li><li>Follow all other safety regulations as set forth by the company</li></ul><p data-pasted=\"true\">COMPANY BENEFITS</p><ul><li>We offer outstanding benefits that includes</li><li>Company Paid Health Insurance</li><li>Prescription Drug Insurance</li><li>Dental and Vison Insurance&nbsp;</li><li>Telemedicine Program through Teladoc&nbsp;</li><li>Wellness Incentives&nbsp;</li><li>Paid Time Off&nbsp;</li><li>7 Paid Holidays&nbsp;</li><li>Term Life Insurance, Accidental Death Insurance, Critical Care Insurance&nbsp;</li><li>Employee Assistance Program</li><li>Personify Rewards Program</li><li>Employee Referral Program</li><li>Safety Incentives&nbsp;</li><li>Uniform Rental&nbsp;</li><li>Boot Loans</li></ul><p><br></p><p><br></p></div></div></div>\n",
