As a Project Environmental Specialist, you will provide technical input on environmental monitoring and design or construction methods to ensure compliance with environmental specifications or regulatory standards. </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Bring your diverse ideas to build stronger, more resilient communities.​  </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Apply now and transform your career with us. </p>\n<h2>What you will be doing</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Support the development and implementation of the Construction Environmental Management Plan (CEMP).</li>\n <li>Track compliance with applicable best management practices, Permit conditions, Environmental Work Plans, Environmental Management Plans, and site-specific plans.</li>\n <li>Coordinate environmental design and construction input between various disciplines.</li>\n <li>Collaborate with the project team in developing Environmental Work Plans and Environmental Standard Operating Procedures.</li>\n <li>Conduct environmental risk assessments, identify potential impacts and develop and implement appropriate mitigation measures. </li>\n <li>Prepare and review reporting associated with environmental compliance (e.g., Weekly Environmental Reports, Monthly Environmental Reports, Environmental Incident Reports, etc.).</li>\n <li>Support the development and implementation of an environmental training and awareness program.</li>\n <li>Manage data collection, storage and analysis.</li>\n <li>Assist with environmental incident investigations in accordance with incident reporting procedures.</li>\n <li>Support with field work, including environmental monitoring, and data collection.</li>\n <li>Liaise on a day-to-day basis with project supervisors and others.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>What we are looking for</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Science, Engineering or a related field.</li>\n <li>5 – 8 years’ experience in construction projects of similar size/scope.</li>\n <li>CAN-CISEC or equivalent erosion and sediment control certification.</li>\n <li>Knowledge of Provincial and Federal environmental regulations (e.g., Water Sustainability Act, Environmental Assessment Act, etc.).</li>\n <li>Past experience in environmental inspecting and monitoring.</li>\n <li>Effective communication, data organization and technical reporting skills.</li>\n <li>Ability to work outside in various weather and terrain conditions.</li>\n <li>Proficiency with computer programs for managing and communicating environmental data.</li>\n <li>Valid driver’s license</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Why work for us</h2>\n<p>Some of the benefits you may be eligible for as an employee are:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Comprehensive compensation package and paid time off program</li>\n <li>Industry leading 401(k)/RRSP</li>\n <li>Medical/Extended Health Care, Dental, Vision and/or Provincial Medical</li>\n <li>Wellness benefits & Employee Assistance Program</li>\n <li>Tuition Reimbursement Program</li>\n</ul>\n<p>We are an EEO/ADA/Veterans employer.</p>\n<h2>Salary Min</h2>CAD $90,000.00/Yr.\n<h2>Salary Max</h2>CAD $110,000.00/Yr.",
