    "requisitionDescription": "<div><p data-pasted=\"true\">REPACKING WORKER JOB SUMMARY</p><p>As a repacking worker you will perform an array of job functions, primarily working to</p><p>ensure</p><p>that everything shipped out is of good quality. You will take larger cased units and</p><p>break them down into smaller units.</p><p>Essential Duties and Responsibilities</p><p>&bull; Assist in staging items that need to be repacked</p><p>&bull; Repack product</p><p>&bull; Discard of poor-quality merchandise</p><p>&bull; Assure that all products are coded according to company food safety standards</p><p>&bull; Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe working environment</p><p>&bull; Prepare orders by selecting specific items per customer order</p><p>&bull; Stage items in appropriate location for the loading process</p><p>&bull; Maintain fresh and adequate inventory of split items in their respective locations</p><p>&bull; Clean and sanitize repacking room</p><p>&bull; Label products according to company and customer requirements</p><p>&bull; Compact recyclable materials in the compactor</p><p>&bull; Maintains safe and clean work environment by keeping shelves, pallet area and</p><p>workstations neat; Sweep, dust and/or mop. Organize warehouse and work</p><p>area for orderliness always</p><p>&bull; Organize cooler shelves and pallets (occasionally)</p><p>&bull; Special projects</p><p>&bull; Wear proper safety equipment</p><p>&bull; Assess quality of product</p><p> Other duties as assigned</p><p>Qualification and requirements</p><p>&bull; Dependable and reliable</p><p> Able and willing to learn how to operate warehouse equipment (pallet jacks, lifts,</p><p>and other tools)</p><p> Must be a self-starter and can work independently</p><p><br></p><p> Days of week and start times are negotiable. This is primarily a mid-morning into</p><p>the evening position.</p><p>Physical Demands and Abilities</p><p>&bull; Regularly required to use hands to finger, handle or feel, reach with hands and</p><p>arms and talk or hear</p><p>&bull; Regularly lift and/or move objects 10-75 lbs., occasionally lift and/or move</p><p>objects that weigh more than 100 lbs.</p><p>&bull; Frequently required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl</p><p>&bull; Occasionally required to sit and climb or balance</p><p>&bull; Safely operate electric pallet jacks and possibly a reach machine, and to push or</p><p>pull a hand truck</p><p>&bull; Specific vision abilities required for this job include close vision, distance vision,</p><p>color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust and focus</p><p>&bull; Specific hearing abilities required for this job include adequate hearing over a</p><p>loud work environment in which several pieces of machinery are frequently</p><p>running including pallet jacks, large shipping vehicles, motors, engines, etc.</p><p>&bull; Frequently required to enter and exit large refrigerated coolers, as well as work</p><p>in a warehouse open to outdoor temperatures during shipping and/or receiving.</p><p>Must be able to tolerate working in temperatures ranging from zero degrees up to</p><p>100 degrees; work environment may be cool and wet</p><p>&bull; Ability to multitask, reprioritize, and to make quick decisions and follow</p><p>commands of supervising staff</p><p>&bull; Meet attendance standards</p><p><br></p><p>Native Maine Produce is an equal opportunity employer.
