    "description": "<h2>Overview</h2>\n<p>Advanced Technologies & Laboratories International, Inc. (ATL) is hiring a Senior Engineer/Scientist - PhD/ScD epidemiologist (MACS- Military Aviators Cancer Study) with experience with the epidemiology of cancers, affected worker populations, and carcinogenic occupational exposures.</p>\n<h2>Essential Functions and Job Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Provide subject matter expertise related to occupational exposures to radiation, chemicals, and fumes for the benefit of study design and data interpretation of military aviation and firefighter/1st responder data sets.</li>\n <li>Oversee and assist developing & conducting statistical analysis plans for various studies.</li>\n <li>Provide expert review of, or contribution to, job groupings into similar exposure groups. Works with team industrial hygienists and health physicists needed to review job titles and tasks and conduct expert ratings/rankings of occupational exposures to radiation, chemicals, and fumes.</li>\n <li>Contribute to a comprehensive literature review of potential aviation-related hazards in both military and commercial aviation and support crew activities.</li>\n <li>Assist in a literature review of potential aviation-related hazards, resulting in a comprehensive assessment of available evidence and prioritized list of potential carcinogens of interest.</li>\n <li>Assistance in developing job exposure matrices which takes into account uncertainty from expert assessments. Several job exposure matrices will be developed.</li>\n <li>Develop a job exposure matrix quantifying exposure to ionizing radiation associated with high altitude flight.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Minimum Requirements</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>PhD</li>\n <li>Experience in the epidemiology of cancers</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Required Technical/Business Tools Experience</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>MS Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook) </li>\n <li>Communication tools (Teams, SharePoint)</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Company Benefits</h2>\n<p>PSI offers full-time, benefits eligible employees a competitive total compensation package that includes paid leave, and options for employer sponsored group medical, dental, vision, short-term and long-term disability, life insurance, AD&D coverage, legal services, identity theft, and accident insurance.
