This role oversees all accounting functions, supports strategic decision-making, and ensures the integrity of financial data and reporting. The Controller serves as a key partner to operations and leadership, providing insight into job performance, cost trends, and financial health. Success in this role requires ownership, attention to detail, and the ability to operate in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Key Responsibilities</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Financial Management &amp; Reporting</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Manage month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness</li>\n<li>Prepare financial statements, supporting schedules, and leadership reports</li>\n<li>Monitor financial KPIs and analyze overall company performance</li>\n<li>Oversee general ledger activity and ensure proper account classification</li>\n<li>Ensure timely and accurate completion of all account reconciliations</li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Job Cost Accounting &amp; Project Analysis (Critical Focus)</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Oversee job cost accounting and ensure accurate, real-time tracking by project</li>\n<li>Analyze job profitability across labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractors</li>\n<li>Partner with operations to review job performance, cost overruns, and margin trends</li>\n<li>Maintain WIP, backlog, and earned revenue reporting</li>\n<li>Identify trends and recommend corrective actions to improve profitability</li>\n<li>Provide historical cost and margin data to support estimating and operations</li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Accounts &amp; Transaction Oversight</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and billing functions</li>\n<li>Ensure timely invoicing, collections, and cash application</li>\n<li>Monitor AR aging and support collection efforts</li>\n<li>Track and manage overhead and administrative expenses</li>\n<li>Manage vendor relationships related to office and operational support</li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Budgeting, Forecasting &amp; Cash Flow</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Lead budgeting and forecasting processes across departments</li>\n<li>Monitor actual results vs. budget and analyze variances</li>\n<li>Support cash flow planning and financial forecasting</li>\n<li>Provide insights to support strategic planning and company growth</li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Internal Controls, Compliance &amp; Audit</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets</li>\n<li>Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements</li>\n<li>Prepare documentation and support audits and financial reviews</li>\n<li>Assist with insurance renewals and ongoing risk management</li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Systems, Technology &amp; Process Improvement</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Oversee financial and office systems, ensuring accuracy and data integrity</li>\n<li>Oversee implementation and effective use of office software and systems</li>\n<li>Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency</li>\n<li>Support basic IT coordination and troubleshooting for office systems</li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Leadership &amp; Cross-Functional Support</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Serve as a key financial partner to operations and leadership</li>\n<li>Provide backup and support to the President/CFO</li>\n<li>Ensure cross-training and coverage across accounting functions</li>\n<li>Collaborate with operations, service, and sales teams on financial performance</li>\n<li>Communicate financial insights clearly to non-financial stakeholders</li>\n<li>Perform additional duties as needed</li>\n<li>\n</li></ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)</span></p>\n<p>Performance in this role will be measured using, but not limited to, the following KPIs:</p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Financial Accuracy &amp; Close:</span> Timeliness and accuracy of month-end close and financial reporting</li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Job Cost &amp; Profitability:</span> Accuracy of job costing, gross margin performance vs. estimate, and control of cost overruns</li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">WIP &amp; Revenue Recognition:</span> Accuracy of work-in-progress reporting and earned revenue tracking</li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Cash Flow &amp; Receivables:</span> AR aging, collections performance, and cash flow forecast accuracy</li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Operational Efficiency:</span> Timeliness of billing, cost entry, and system/data accuracy</li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Internal Controls &amp;
