Today we’re delighted to have over 1,800 experienced and fun team members across the state, each impacting and helping to drive our business forward. </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><em><strong>Your Role:</strong></em></p>\n<p>This position is based out of the Eastern Upper Peninsula area and a company maintenance van will be provided to you for work purposes. As a Maintenance Technician you will repair and maintain physical structures, under supervision, using hand and power tools. Paint structures, perform masonry work, and repair plumbing fixtures and woodwork. Make repairs to tools and equipment. Installs, repairs, and maintain electrical systems and fixtures including measuring, cutting, bonding, threading, assembling and installing electrical conduit. Moves, installs, and adjusts fixtures, motors, and other electrical/mechanical equipment. Connects power cables to equipment and installs grounding leads. Performs tests on electrical equipment for safety reliance and code compliance. Patches concrete and macadam surfaces. Assists supervisor and other maintenance technicians and performs other duties as assigned. Personal contacts are primarily with Blarney Castle employees related work or support units.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong><em>Work Environment:</em></strong></p>\n<p>While performing the duties of this job you may be exposed to activities near moving mechanical parts, fumes, electrical power sources and outdoor weather conditions. The noise levels in the work environment are moderate to high. The starting time for this position is 7:00 A.M. with a normal 8 hour shift extending Monday through Friday. Due to the nature and travel requirements of this position, you may be subject to work hours in excess of a 40 hour work week. Their is a possibility of occasional emergency call-outs and scheduling outside normally scheduled hours including weekends.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><em><strong>Physical Demands: </strong></em></p>\n<p>While performing the duties of this job you will frequently be required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms, climb, or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. An employee must frequently lift and/or move objects exceeding 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required of this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
