Inspired Every Day.</strong>&nbsp;</p><p>&nbsp;<br><strong>Licensed Practical Nurse - Per Diem or Casual&nbsp;</strong>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Days, Evenings and Nights - Every other weekend&nbsp;</strong></p><p><br></p><p><strong>Pay Range: $29.00 - 35.20 / &nbsp;Hourly &nbsp;(Pay information will vary depending upon relevant experience for the position.)&nbsp;</strong>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>We offer a generous pay differential for evenings, nights.&nbsp;and weekends.&nbsp;</strong></p><p><br></p><p><strong>** Must be a current practicing LPN for 1 year to be considered for Per Diem or Casual**&nbsp;</strong></p><p><br></p><p><br></p><p>&nbsp;<strong>ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:</strong></p><ul><li>&nbsp;Exhibits knowledge and proper application of established policies and procedures.</li><li>Provides information for the development of nursing care plans.</li><li>Observes and monitors residents’ health status and communicates significant findings to the registered nurse.</li><li>Safely performs therapeutic and preventative nursing procedures and treatments under the direction of a Registered Nurse.</li><li>Follows established care plan.</li><li>Participates in quality assurance programs and infection prevention as required.</li><li>Under the direction of a Registered Nurse, and on all shifts, assists with supervision and direction of non-professional nursing staff.&nbsp;</li><li>Be familiar and accountable for all medication policies and procedures.</li><li>Administers medication per policy and procedure.</li><li>Reorders medication per the pharmacy procedures.</li><li>Exhibits knowledge of desired/untoward effects of administered medications.</li><li>Observes residents for reaction to medications, reporting and documenting effectiveness.</li><li>Follows established documentation procedures.</li><li>Completes exception report, bowel record at the end of shift; hands off any pending issues.&nbsp;</li><li>Be familiar with documentation requirements specific to MDS and resident needs.</li><li>Utilizes supplies in a cost-effective manner. Monitors usage regularly.</li><li>Reports unsafe conditions to the Registered Nurse in a timely manner.</li><li>Documents all incidents/accidents per policy.</li><li>Be familiar with established emergency procedures.</li><li>Be courteous and polite to all encountered.</li><li>Addresses residents by name</li><li>Responds to resident needs as soon as possible.</li><li>Refers issues/problems to Registered Nurse Manager/supervisor or designee.</li><li>Assists with orientation of new nurses on the unit.&nbsp;</li><li>Reports off to other team leader or nursing leadership when leaving the unit.&nbsp;</li><li>Ensures residents get to scheduled activities/therapy on time.&nbsp;</li><li>As needed, floats to aid with staffing needs of the nursing department.</li><li>Follows dress code per facility policies.&nbsp;</li><li>Provides assistance to co-workers as needed.&nbsp;</li><li>Answers call lights/unit phone in unit secretary’s absence.</li></ul><p><br></p>",
