We seek tradesmen who share that view, value learning opportunities, and desire an opportunity to apply their skills in our progressive environment.</p>\r\n\r\n<p>We are seeking a <strong>Rigger Journeyman</strong> who will prepare materials for transport by crane or forklift, and determine rigging selection, ensure proper maintenance and rotation of rigging, and provide operators with proper hand signals and tag line assistance during lifts.</p>\r\n\r\n<p><strong>What You Will Do</strong></p>\r\n\r\n<ul>\r\n\t<li>Work with Crane Operator to choose and attach lifting apparatus to material for transportation by crane or forklift.</li>\r\n\t<li>Provide hand or radio signals to crane operator to ensure the safe movement of materials during crane lifts.</li>\r\n\t<li>Understand lift dynamics and various lift configurations for slings, straps, cable, chain, bracket, and plate clamps.</li>\r\n\t<li>Display working knowledge of shackles, straps, cables, braces, brackets and other rigging tools lift capacities, required maintenance, and safety checks.</li>\r\n\t<li>Safely operate forklifts up to 18 tons to transport materials to various departments and deliver needed materials to employees.</li>\r\n\t<li>Control taglines for small and large lifts following directions of the Operator in charge.</li>\r\n\t<li>Assist in stabilizing materials and vessels after transport with cribbing under the direction of the Operator in charge or Launch Crew Supervisor.</li>\r\n\t<li>Use various hand and power tools in daily operations to assist in preparation of materials for transport or general clean up after transport.</li>\r\n</ul>\r\n\r\n<ul>\r\n\t<li>Work as a member of a team demonstrating skills to effectively communicate, adapt, interpret and problem solve.</li>\r\n\t<li>Always embrace safety culture and practice safe shipyard work practices and housekeeping</li>\r\n\t<li>Develop and maintain constructive and cooperative working relationships with fellow crew members and supervision.</li>\r\n\t<li>Share your knowledge in the trade with other employees, especially those in learning or apprentice roles.</li>\r\n\t<li>Other tasks as needed that may arise in our exciting work environment.</li>\r\n</ul>\r\n\r\n<p><strong>Benefits:</strong></p>\r\n\r\n<ul>\r\n\t<li>401(k) and 401(k) matching</li>\r\n\t<li>Health insurance</li>\r\n\t<li>Health savings account</li>\r\n\t<li>Dental insurance</li>\r\n\t<li>Group Life Insurance with Optional supplemental life and disability insurance programs</li>\r\n\t<li>Paid time off</li>\r\n\t<li>Vision insurance</li>\r\n\t<li>Employee Assistance Program</li>\r\n\t<li>Culture of Learning with State-Certified Apprenticeship Programs</li>\r\n</ul>\r\n",
