To support our workforce, ABSI offers highly competitive salaries, flexible work schedules, excellent benefits, instant 401K vesting and a full cafeteria plan that employees can tailor to their individual needs.</span></span></p>\n<p><br><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">The Engineering Technician will provide in-service engineering support for the Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Divisions (NAWCAD), Webster Outlying Field (WOLF), Combat Integration &amp; Identification Systems (CI&amp;IDS) Division for Counter Unmanned Air Systems (C-UAS). The incumbent will perform installation, maintenance, and inspection of C-UAS systems and subsystems in accordance with all applicable plans, specifications, codes and industry standards.</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\"> </span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:</span></span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">The Engineering Technician will be responsible for:  </span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Conducting installations and maintenance for Counter-UAS systems and sub-systems at domestic and international sites</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Conducting systems inspections in accordance with Government approved platform inspection procedures</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Generating inspection reports</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Assisting in the development and review of design documentation including schematics, designs, specifications, electrical drawings, and parts lists</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Conducting tests and redesigns to include preparing and operating equipment, recording and analyzing data, and preparing test result reports</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Selecting and modifying a variety of test equipment and procedures</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Developing experimental or prototype models to meet requirements</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Applying advanced technical knowledge to solve complex problems that typically cannot be solved solely by referencing manufacturers' manuals or similar documents. Examples of such problems include determining the location and density of circuitry, evaluating electromagnetic radiation, isolating malfunctions, and incorporating engineering changes.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Exercising independent judgment in performing such tasks as making circuit analyses, calculating wave forms, and tracing relationships in signal flow, using complex test instruments such as high frequency pulse generators, frequency synthesizers, distortion analyzers, and complex computer control equipment.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Performing other duties as assigned</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span>Minimum of 3 years of practical experience in a relevant technical field to include at least 1 year of experience with the installation of such equipment and 1 year of experience with the design, preparation, and modification of engineering documents and drawings</span></li>\n<li>Demonstrated understanding of the interrelationships of circuits</li>\n<li>Applicant must be willing travel outside of the continental United States, and occasionally, in austere conditions.  Travel may account for up to 25% of the work year.</li>\n<li>Must have a valid US Passport</li>\n<li>Ability to work onboard US Navy Ships</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Experience with C-UAS systems and subsystems to include troubleshooting and maintenance</li>\n<li>Familiarity with any of the following:\n<ul>\n<li>NINJA</li>\n<li>CORIAN</li>\n<li>Light Marine Air Defense Integrated Systems (LMADIS)</li>\n<li>Marine Air Defense Integrated System (MADIS)</li>\n<li>ANDURIL</li>\n<li>SKYTRACKER<br></li>\n</ul>\n</li>\n<li>Tower related certifications (Climb/Rescue).</li>\n<li>Familiarity with Microsoft Office and web-based collaborative resources.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><br>ABSI Aerospace &amp; Defense is an Equal Opportunity Employer and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any kind: ABSI is committed to the principle of equal employment opportunity for all employees and applicants and to providing employees with a work environment free of discrimination and harassment.
