    "requisitionDescription": "<p data-pasted=\"true\">SSAI is seeking a Business Development Manager with a strong background in the Department of Defense (DoD) and defense sector. This role is focused on driving new business growth&mdash;not operations management. We are looking for a proven, high-performing sales professional who can identify, pursue, and win new opportunities, expand market presence, and directly contribute to revenue growth.</p><p>This is an onsite role based in Lanham, MD.</p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\"><li style=\"margin-left: 24px;\">Lead and execute business development and sales strategies targeting DoD and defense-related agencies</li><li style=\"margin-left: 24px;\">Identify, qualify, and pursue new business opportunities, contracts, and partnerships</li><li style=\"margin-left: 24px;\">Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers in the defense sector</li><li style=\"margin-left: 24px;\">Drive the full capture lifecycle, from opportunity identification through proposal and award</li><li style=\"margin-left: 24px;\">Develop and implement win strategies for competitive procurements</li><li style=\"margin-left: 24px;\">Collaborate with internal teams to align technical capabilities with customer needs</li><li style=\"margin-left: 24px;\">Maintain a robust pipeline of opportunities to meet or exceed revenue targets</li><li style=\"margin-left: 24px;\">Represent SSAI at industry events, conferences, and client meetings</li></ul><p><strong>Required Qualifications</strong></p><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\"><li style=\"margin-left: 24px;\">Bachelor&rsquo;s degree (B.S.) and a minimum of 10 years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.</li><li style=\"margin-left: 24px;\">At least 8 years of business development or sales experience, with a strong focus on DoD/defense sector</li><li style=\"margin-left: 24px;\">Demonstrated success in winning new business and growing revenue</li><li style=\"margin-left: 24px;\">Deep understanding of federal contracting and acquisition processes</li><li style=\"margin-left: 24px;\">Established network within the DoD and defense community</li><li style=\"margin-left: 24px;\">Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills</li><li style=\"margin-left: 24px;\">Ability to work independently with a results-driven, hunter mentality</li></ul><p><strong>Desired Qualifications</strong></p><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\"><li style=\"margin-left: 24px;\">Experience with federal contract vehicles and procurement strategies</li><li style=\"margin-left: 24px;\">Familiarity with SSAI&rsquo;s core domains: science, engineering, and technology services</li><li style=\"margin-left: 24px;\"><span data-contrast=\"auto\" lang=\"EN-IN\" class=\"TextRun SCXW98158135 BCX8\"><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW98158135 BCX8\">Active security clearance (preferred but not required)</span></span></li></ul><p><br></p><p data-pasted=\"true\" style='box-sizing: border-box;
