Headquartered in Tysons, Virginia, LMI is committed to delivering impactful results that strengthen missions and drive lasting value.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Supports data architecture for large-scale application programming interfaces (APIs) and web application back-end data stores (e.g., SQL Server, MongoDB, or PostgreSQL).</li>\n <li>Designs, builds, and maintains PySpark ETL processes to supply application data for usage in the web application via Amazon Web Services (AWS) Glue.  </li>\n <li>Manages critical low latency application databases on platforms. Develops packages and scripts for system enhancements and interfaces.  </li>\n <li>Develops scripts to validate the various data on systems.  </li>\n <li>Develops and optimizes SQL queries, stored procedures, and indexing strategies to improve database performance and availability.  </li>\n <li>Implements medallion architecture and data lake best practices within AWS cloud ecosystems.</li>\n <li>Executes statement to create and update various tables and views utilize for testing of code on a database. </li>\n <li>Establishes database backup/recovery strategy using user-manage backup and implements automation of many database administrator (DBA) utility functions.  </li>\n <li>Engineers database solutions that ensure data request performance, reliability, and integrity for business-critical systems.</li>\n <li>Develops reusable components for deployment in a traditional data warehouse environment. </li>\n <li>Standardizes database maintenance activities by standardizing directory structure and documentation of DBA activities. </li>\n <li>Documents database design, data definition language, data migration strategies between different products/versions, and overall architecture to ensure system transparency and auditability.  </li>\n <li>Collaborates with software engineering and data science teams to improve platform performance, scalability, and availability.</li>\n <li>Utilize AI-powered development tools (e.g., code autocompletion, debugging assistants, automated testing frameworks) to enhance coding efficiency, ensure accuracy, and accelerate the software development lifecycle.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>Required:</strong> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, operations research, statistics, mathematics, computer science, or related field.</li>\n <li>3+ years of experience.</li>\n <li>Strong analytical skills. </li>\n <li>Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs including Word, Excel, PowerPoint. </li>\n <li>Proficiency in Python and SQL.</li>\n <li>Experience with entity relationship diagrams (ERDs).</li>\n <li>Experience creating or working with data cleansing pipelines.</li>\n <li>Superior communication skills, both written and oral.</li>\n <li>Ability to absorb large amounts of new technical and policy knowledge without a lot of guidance.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Desired:</strong> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Master’s degree in industrial engineering, operations research, statistics, mathematics, computer science, data science or related discipline.</li>\n <li>Expert knowledge of Python and/or SQL </li>\n <li>Proficiency in noSQL.</li>\n <li>Understanding of federal healthcare programs.</li>\n <li>Experience working in a consultant/client enviornment.</li>\n <li>Experience with medallion architecture.</li>\n <li>3-5 years of experience in data analysis and reporting.</li>\n</ul>\n<p>Target Salary Range: $92,000 - $158,000</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong><em>Disclaimer:</em></strong> </p>\n<p>The salary range displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is not a guarantee of compensation.
