Interns take on meaningful projects that complement their academic work, helping them transition smoothly from student to professional.&nbsp;</p><p><strong id=\"isPasted\">Transportation Project Intern</strong></p><p>We are currently seeking Summer 2026 interns to join our Transportation Team. &nbsp;Responsibilities include:</p><ul><li>Perform, under close supervision, routine aspects of civil engineering and construction management requiring knowledge and application of principles learned in course of study.</li><li>May use computer-assisted engineering software and equipment to perform tasks.</li><li>Collect and prepare data for evaluation</li><li>Assist in the coordination of projects from the design phase all the way through construction.</li><li>Provide support to staff members as needed.&nbsp;</li></ul><p><strong>Minimum Education &amp; Experience Required</strong></p><p>Must have completed freshman year of a degree program in Civil Engineering or Construction Management.</p><p><strong>Required Knowledge/Skills/Abilities</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Strong desire to pursue a career in civil engineering or construction management.</li><li>Solid analytical, conceptual, and problem solving skills.</li><li>Resourceful and self-motivated.</li><li>Solid organizational skills with a focus on details.</li><li>Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.</li><li>Experience with AutoCAD preferred.</li><li>Strong written and verbal communication skills.</li><li>Ability to work and thrive in a team environment.</li><li>Ability to effectively interface with all levels of personnel and management.</li><li>Previous internship experience and/or involvement as an active member of related professional student association a plus. &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;<strong>&nbsp;</strong></li></ul><p><strong>Visa Sponsorship is not available for this position.</strong></p><p><strong>Estimated Compensation Range and Benefits</strong></p><p><strong>$17.00 &ndash; 23.00/hr.<strong>*</strong></strong></p><p><em>*Actual compensation may vary based on related work experience, geographical location and market conditions, education/training, certifications, and other credentials, as well as applicable knowledge and skills.</em></p><p>Learn about our comprehensive <a href=\"https://www.cscos.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/12/Comprehensive-Benefits_2024_rev.pdf\" target=\"_blank\">Benefits</a></p><p><strong>WHO WE ARE:</strong> C&amp;S Companies is a national planning, design, and construction firm with more than 600 employees and growing.
