A lifeguard is a part of that mission each summer.</p><p><br></p><p>As a Lifeguard you will:</p><ul><li>Supervise the waterfront activities including: swimming, diving, boating, and canoeing.</li><li>Maintain waterfront equipment.</li><li>Enforce all waterfront safety standards for campers and staff.</li><li>Assist with the development of the waterfront program and keep appropriate course records and badge worksheets on individual girls.</li><li>Participate in unit and camp activities when assigned and as time allows.</li><li>Observe and supervise camper behavior, identify and respond to hazards, assist campers in emergencies (fire, evacuation, illness, or injury).</li><li>Teach and promote respect for others: valuing and understanding differences and similarities of campers and staff.&nbsp;</li><li>Possess the strength and endurance required to maintain constant supervision of campers, ensuring their physical and emotional health and safety at all times.&nbsp;</li><li>Assist in maintaining sanitation, housekeeping, and care of camp grounds, supplies and equipment.&nbsp;</li><li>Assist with the storing and packing of equipment for safety during and at the end of the season.&nbsp;</li><li>Inform the Camp Director of day-to-day unit successes and concerns, as well as camper health and other unit issues.&nbsp;</li><li>Maintain a good rapport with parents and the community.&nbsp;</li><li>Assist with check-in and check-out procedures.&nbsp;</li><li>Assist with the opening and closing of the entire camp.&nbsp;</li><li>Perform other duties as assigned.</li></ul><p><br></p>",
