Currently we are looking to fill one 3rd shift position. <strong>We are also excited to announce that 3rd&nbsp;shift employees will receive a $3.00/hr. shift differential!</strong> Below are the preferred skills, duties, and responsibilities you will have performing as our <strong>Quality Inspectors.</strong></p><p><br></p><p><strong>POSITION SUMMARY:</strong></p><p>The function of the Quality Inspector is to assist in developing and performing quality inspections on standard and routine processes and products according to engineering drawings, specifications, prescribed methods, and instructions. Additionally, the Quality Inspector will train and develop members of production and quality in use of all metrology equipment in use by LMT Defense.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:</strong></p><ul><li><strong>Availability to work (11pm-7:15am) 3rd shift.</strong></li><li>Excellent written and verbal communications skills.</li><li>Excellent visual perception to ensure fine detail quality inspection.</li><li>Full physical capabilities to sit, stand, walk, climb, reach, bend, and maneuver around equipment and job stations.</li><li>Ability to work in a productive, cooperative manner with other company employees.</li><li>Computer literacy at a level of competence to enable accessing and completing necessary documents and forms in performance of job.</li><li>At least 5 - 7 years quality assurance inspection experience in a high precision machining environment, use of CMM’s and performing calibrations of precision inspection devices.</li><li>Ability to coordinate multiple tasks according to priority.</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>JOB RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:</strong></p><ul><li>Executing, overseeing, implementation and compliance to the Quality Management System.</li><li>On-going quality inspections on standard and routine processes and products according to engineering drawings, and/or specifications.</li><li>Maintain control, protection, and use of company assets in performance of job duties.</li><li>Assist in the hiring process of Quality Inspectors.</li><li>Train members of production and quality in use of all metrology equipment in use by LMT Defense.</li><li>On-going communications with the Quality Assurance Manager, Engineering, and Production Supervisors to ensure common understanding of immediate issues affecting output and quality.</li><li>Perform first piece and in-process inspections of production parts.</li><li>Verify calibration of inspection gauges and tools during first piece inspection to be used on production orders.</li><li>Perform calibration of inspection devices.</li><li>Audit production packets to ensure all data and forms are in place and are being utilized during first piece and in-process inspections</li><li>Inspect and maintain inspection records of non-conforming material.</li><li>Author and maintain Cause and Corrective Action Report log.</li><li>Ensure calibration records are maintained and up to date for all equipment.</li><li>Keep and maintain records of temperature chart recorder in quality lab.</li><li>Coordinate production inspection efforts across all shifts.</li><li>Any other duties as assigned by the Quality Assurance Manager</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>BENEFITS:</strong></p><ul><li>PTO after 90 days of employment&nbsp;</li><li>Bonus Time Off for good attendance</li><li>Medical, Dental, and Vision</li><li>Health Savings Account (HRA)</li><li>Flex Savings Account (FSA)</li><li>Employee Assistance Program (EAP)</li><li>401(k) Account + employer matching&nbsp;</li><li>And so much more!&nbsp;</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>*LMT Defense is an Equal Opportunity and Affirmative Action Employer</strong></p><p>&nbsp;LMT Defense is committed to ensuring equal employment opportunities for all job applicants and employees.
