The ideal candidate is customer-focused, possesses strong communication skills, and is confident in handling high-pressure situations.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Responsibilities:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Verify the identity of staff members entering the facility.</li>\n <li>Provide visitors with proper identification and ensure it is returned after their visit.</li>\n <li>Perform foot patrols throughout the building.</li>\n <li>Conduct mobile patrols across the property.</li>\n <li>Monitor and report any suspicious activities or individuals.</li>\n <li>Identify and prevent theft and vandalism.</li>\n <li>Write comprehensive narrative reports and keep daily activity logs.</li>\n <li>Enforce facility rules, regulations, policies, and procedures, while responding to security-related emergencies.</li>\n <li>Manage conflict situations calmly and effectively.</li>\n <li>Utilize communication devices such as radios and mobile phones.</li>\n <li>Adhere to radio and emergency phone protocols.</li>\n <li>Ensure compliance with safety and emergency procedures.</li>\n <li>Respond promptly to alarms and other emergencies.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Requirements:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Must be at least 18 years old and have a high school diploma or equivalent.</li>\n <li>Previous experience in security is an asset.</li>\n <li>A valid BC Security License is required.</li>\n <li>A valid BC Class 5 (Non-GDL) Driver’s License is required</li>\n <li>Strong computer skills are essential.</li>\n <li>Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.</li>\n <li>Maintain a professional and neat appearance.</li>\n <li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with all personnel and the public.</li>\n <li>Demonstrates exceptional customer service and communication skills.</li>\n <li>Capable of handling crisis situations calmly and efficiently at the client site.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Physical Requirements:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Remain on your feet or walk continuously (potentially for an entire shift) on different surfaces.</li>\n <li>Occasionally ascend stairs, ramps, or ladders throughout the shift.</li>\n <li>Drive for extended periods.</li>\n <li>Periodically bend or twist at the waist, knees, or neck to complete various tasks.</li>\n <li>Occasionally lift or carry up to 40 pounds.</li>\n <li>Work in various conditions, including outdoor environments with extreme weather such as cold, snow, rain, or heat.</li>\n <li>Running may be required.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Disclaimer:</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>As part of our standard hiring process, all candidates being considered for employment with Allied Universal are required to undergo a background check.
