    "requisitionDescription": "<div><div><div><div><div><div><p data-pasted=\"true\"><strong>Purpose/Summary:</strong></p><p>A General Laborer is responsible for finishing and packaging parts according to customer specifications. &nbsp;This includes but is not limited to hand grinding, use of belt sander, Dynafile, die grinder, etc.</p><p><strong>Duties and Responsibilities:</strong></p><p>&bull;<span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Locates material and if necessary, moves the material to the appropriate area using equipment such as a forklift or overhead crane. Must be able to push, pull or lift up to 75 pounds of material. Products in excess of 75 pounds must be moved either via team lift or use of appropriate device(s). Ask your supervisor if there are any questions.</p><p>&bull;<span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Weighs material to determine proper packaging method and to ensure that material will reach the customer&rsquo;s destination in a safe and presentable manner.</p><p>&bull;<span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Count out the number of parts to fill the customer&rsquo;s order accurately.</p><p>&bull;<span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Grinds parts according to customer specifications and company procedures using the hand grinders, belt sander, Dynafile, die grinders, etc.</p><p>&bull;<span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Completes associated paperwork in accordance with company guidelines. Completes the order on the mainframe computer system by wanding the order and accurately entering required&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;information.</p><p>&bull;<span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Prepare shipping tags using the department computer or by completing the tag manually if necessary.</p><p>&bull;<span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Communicates with previous/proceeding shifts as to work in process, priority of work orders to be completed during the next shift and any other pertinent information to ensure the smooth&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; flow of production between shifts.</p><p>&bull;<span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Notifies the supervisor and/or maintenance department when department equipment is not running correctly or when assistance with preventive maintenance is needed.</p><p>&bull;<span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Completes assigned duties in accordance with safety policies and practices. &nbsp;This includes regard for individual safety, the safety of other employees, and the safe use of equipment in the&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;workplace.</p><p>&bull;<span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Wears approved personal protective equipment such as safety shoes, gloves, safety glasses, etc.</p><p>&bull;<span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Performs other duties as assigned by a supervisor, lead person or management.</p><p><strong>Working Conditions:</strong></p><p>Working conditions may consist of loud noise, vibratory tools, repetitive motions, airborne particles such as metal dust and chips and exposure to chemicals such as soaps, oils and detergents. Physical requirements include continual standing, walking, lifting, twisting with periodic bending, climbing, stooping, crawling and crouching.&nbsp;</p><p><strong>&nbsp;Knowledge, Abilities, Skills:</strong></p><p>&bull;<span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Previous work experience with grinding hand tools is preferred.</p><p>&bull;<span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Ability to safely operate overhead cranes with related equipment and forklifts.</p><p>&bull;<span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Ability to perform simple math including addition and subtraction.</p><p>&bull;<span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Ability to read basic blueprints.</p><p>&bull;<span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Knowledge of general shop procedures and rules including safety precautions.</p><p>&bull;<span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Ability and willingness to cooperate with co-workers and work as part of a production team.</p><p><strong>JSA (Job Safety Analysis) Driller, GL, Lissmac</strong></p><p>For general laborers, their job will be in an inside environment that will consist of a dusty, noisy atmosphere. &nbsp;They will need to be able to lift, pull, push, stand, bend, grasp, reach and twist while standing on a regular basis. &nbsp;</p><p>Some of the risk factors for their job will include repetitive motions, static and awkward postures, reaching above the shoulder, and moving heavy objects.</p><p>Their main hazard but not limited to will be their hands, after that some other hazards will include eye, foot, body, fall and noise hazards. &nbsp;Along with the body hazards, some hazards that come from the job will be improper bending/twisting, spraying down the metal, tripping over the product/material, banding improperly or handling the product improperly. &nbsp;</p><p>Some preventive measures will be having the proper PPE (safety glasses, shoes, hearing protection, etc.) on while making sure they are using the right technique when moving/lifting objects. &nbsp;Along with that, make sure that loose clothing is tucked in. &nbsp;&nbsp;</p><p><br></p></div></div></div></div></div></div>\n<br/>Monday-Thursday 5:00am-3:30pm",
