    "ExternalDescriptionStr": "<div>\n &nbsp;\n</div>\n<div>\n &nbsp;\n</div>\n<div>\n <strong>SUMMARY</strong>\n</div>\n<p>Construction Site Superintendent&nbsp;is responsible for actively managing construction projects at the site, responsible for Site EHS safety and supervision, directing construction trades and resolving site conflicts with schedule, coordination and design, and ensuring project quality and construction industry standards are met.</p>\n<p><strong>KEY DUTIES &amp; RESPONSIBILITIES&nbsp;</strong></p>\n<p>Construction Site Management and Supervision</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Daily supervision and coordination of the interior finishing sub-trades.</li>\n <li>Ensure construction industry standards are met and ensure high quality control in the effort to minimize deficiencies.</li>\n <li>Ensure project materials and workmanship meet project design specifications and high-quality standards.</li>\n <li>Ensure smooth coordination of all construction related activities.</li>\n <li>Adhere to project schedule deliverables and critical path.</li>\n <li>Supervise trades / subcontractors / workers.</li>\n <li>Assist Project Mangers in the creation of site plans and procedures (i.e., scheduling and forecasting resources).</li>\n <li>Provide resolution to project issues as they arise and communicate project issues in a timely manner to Project Manager (i.e., work scheduling conflicts, work interference, errors / discrepancies / omissions in Consultant’s design drawings, project deficiencies list, poor workmanship quality, etc.).</li>\n <li>Coordinate and direct independent testing and inspections as required.</li>\n <li>Document daily job report and keep Construction Manager informed of project status.</li>\n <li>Other responsibilities as assigned (i.e., housekeeping, basic handyman / carpentry, etc.).</li>\n</ul>\n<p>Safety&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Provide leadership and direction to safety professionals, and all other site personnel.</li>\n <li>Ensure trades/subcontractors / workers adhere to health and safety policies, procedures and best practices. Promote a safe work environment (i.e., site inspection, hazard assessment, toolbox safety talk, etc.).</li>\n <li>In the event of accident informs immediately according to Company procedure.</li>\n <li>Follows Company procedures to ensure safe environment, personal safety and safety of others.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>KNOWLEDGE &amp; SKILLS&nbsp;</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Construction, Engineering, Business or related field. Candidates with equivalent experience may be considered.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Health &amp; Safety related training applicable to construction sites including Competent Supervisor.</li>\n <li>Minimum 5+ years of progressive construction project management experience (i.e., commercial, industrial, residential, new construction projects, tenant improvements, interior-fit up, renovation, additions). Canadian / Ontario experience preferred.</li>\n <li>Understanding of construction industry standards and operations (i.e., construction specifications, building materials, methods and procedures).</li>\n <li>Construction project management experience in high security environment is an asset.</li>\n <li>Ability to read and interpret blueprints.</li>\n <li>Knowledge and experience working with various tools and equipment.</li>\n <li>Must have experience with Adobe Acrobat Pro, AutoCAD Viewer and Microsoft Office (i.e., Excel, Word, Project, Outlook).</li>\n <li>Intermediate mathematical skills.</li>\n <li>Team management, including assessing and providing feedback on job performance to sub-trades.</li>\n <li>Problem solving / conflict resolution and sound decision-making skills.</li>\n <li>Ability to visualize the entire project, anticipate issues and implement solutions in collaboration with Project Managers.</li>\n <li>Attention to detail, specifically quality control to minimize deficiencies in real-time.</li>\n <li>Time management and organizational skills to ensure project deadlines are met.</li>\n <li>Strong oral and written communication skills, including active listening and interpersonal skills.</li>\n <li>Going above and beyond attitude (strong work ethics).</li>\n <li>Work well in a fast pace and high-pressure environment.</li>\n <li>Exercise sound judgment&nbsp;</li>\n <li>English is required because you will be dealing with English-speaking customers as part of your job.<br>\n  &nbsp;</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Licenses and/or Professional Accreditation</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>N / A</li>\n</ul>\n<div>\n &nbsp;<strong>#LI-BL1</strong>\n</div>\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\n<p>&nbsp;</p>",
