Kelvion &ndash; Together, We Shape the Future</p><p><strong>The Role</strong></p><p>Responsible for ensuring parts are painted properly according to customer specifications while meeting all quality standards. Pretreat, clean, mask, prime and powder coat a variety of parts as needed. Perform required quality checks including1st piece, in-process and final inspections by performing the following duties.</p><p><strong>What you will be responsible for:</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Read work orders or receive instructions from supervisor regarding painting.&nbsp;</li><li>Prepare parts for coating&nbsp;</li><li>Follow all principles and practices of powder coating</li><li>Operate all coating equipment including guns, hoppers, and booth collection systems.</li><li>Clean grease, rust, and dirt from product; wash surfaces prior to coating; apply masking tape over parts and areas that are not to be coated.</li><li>Observe machine gauges and equipment operation to detect defects</li><li>Determine paint flow, viscosity and coating quality by performing visual inspections or by using mill gage.</li><li>Bake parts at appropriate temperatures within time limitations.</li><li>Ensure that all components are produced/coated efficiently, and are consistent with company established goals for quality and customer order on-time performance.</li><li>Ensure quality standards and processes are used throughout facility.</li><li>Ensure safety guidelines are being met to assure a safe work environment.</li><li>Load and unload parts or product onto fixtures.</li><li>Good knowledge of the mechanics and repair of painting equipment.</li><li>Proper cleaning and maintenance of equipment.</li><li>Maintains production record of parts and jobs fabricated as required by the Department Manager.&nbsp;</li><li>Set up ladders to perform tasks above ground level. &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;</li><li>Must pass Pulmonary Function Test (PFT).</li><li>Must be able to wear respirator.</li><li>Regular attendance, ability to arrive at work punctually, ability to work on&ndash;site, ability to work overtime.</li><li>Ability to work cooperatively with others, ability to deal respectfully with the public, customers, vendors, other employees, managers, and executive management.</li><li>Ability to perform multiple tasks concurrently, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, ability to interchange with others in the department.</li></ul><p><strong><u>EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE (required levels)</u></strong></p><p>High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
