    "description": "<p>We are seeking a <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Component Assembler Tube/Tester (2nd Shift)  </span>to join our federal team at our <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">York, PA </span>plant. We're keeping the Navy cool. Literally. The primary mission of our Johnson Controls Navy Systems team is to supply large chilled water HVAC and refrigeration systems to the US Navy and US Coast Guard.  This job consists of performing operations required to lay out, assemble, erect, lead check, perform air run, oil and air pressure test, vacuum test system and repair direct drive power generation sources to compressors.  Assemble, repair tubing, piping and fittings of engineered production systems.<br><br></p>\n<p>At Johnson Controls, we support our nation’s most critical facilities, the people who occupy them, and the missions they enable. We help modernize U.S. military installations, Department of Defense and other federal agency facilities to be smarter, more resilient, efficient, sustainable, and secure.</p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><br>Location:</span> Grantley Plant in York, PA<br><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Pay:</span> Union rate of $31.79 per hour plus $2.00/hour shift differential<br><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Bonus Eligible</span>: Yes<br><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Shift:</span> 2nd Shift, 3:00pm - 11:30pm, Monday-Friday<br><br><br><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Johnson Controls Navy Systems – <a href=\"https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AD9TF3ANMxU&amp;t=2s\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Promotional Video</a></span> </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>As a <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Component Assembler Tube/Tester, </span>you will:<br><br></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Working from isometric drawings, orders, process sheets, specifications, instructions. </li>\n<li>Layout, determine route of piping and tubing, location and type of supports, measure, cut to length; flare, thread. </li>\n<li>Assemble, level, connect, braze fittings, controls, components. </li>\n<li>Check operation of oil filters, oil drain, diagnose problems, repair, replace components. </li>\n<li>Assemble valves, oil filters, pumps, lubricating devices, covers, gaskets, pressure control panels. </li>\n<li>Erect motor drives, layout, locate holes, position components, determine, maintain clearances, level, align, drill and tap flange connections. </li>\n<li>Fit tapered pins and keys, shrink rotors on shaft. </li>\n<li>Charge systems with refrigerant and air, leak check, repair leaks.<br><br></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Required Qualifications:<br><br></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and general drawing arrangements</li>\n<li>Ability to read and interpret measuring tape accurately to measure and cut materials</li>\n<li>Ability to apply measuring specifications to equipment and products</li>\n<li>Knowledge of hand tools.</li>\n<li>Effective communication skills with the ability to work in a team environment</li>\n<li>Ability to maintain clean and safe work area and/or equipment</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Who We Are</span></p>\n<p>The primary mission of Johnson Controls Navy Systems is to supply Chilled Water Air Conditioning, Refrigeration Systems and associated equipment to the US Navy and US Coast Guard.
