This role contributes to a large enterprise effort on a federal contract, focusing on ensuring the reliability, security, and performance of network systems. You will collaborate with senior team members and cross-functional IT teams to implement network solutions and troubleshoot issues effectively. Additionally, in this position you will:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Assist in the management and maintenance of Cisco-based network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points.</li>\n <li>Monitor network performance, identify issues, and implement troubleshooting measures to ensure optimal functionality.</li>\n <li>Collaborate with IT teams to support the integration of new network solutions and technologies.</li>\n <li>Implement network security measures to protect sensitive data and comply with federal standards.</li>\n <li>Maintain documentation related to network configurations, procedures, and operational standards.</li>\n <li>Provide support and guidance to junior network administrators and assist in their training and development.</li>\n <li>Participate in capacity planning and network upgrade projects as needed.</li>\n <li>Coordinate with vendors for network equipment procurement and support services.</li>\n <li>Ensure adherence to SLAs and assist in reporting on network performance and incidents.</li>\n <li>Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to contribute to network improvements.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>As a requirement of this position, all candidates must be a U.S. Citizen. In accordance with 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(2)(C), we will not consider candidates for this position who do not meet the aforementioned conditions.</li>\n <li>Must have an active Secret clearance with the ability to obtain a Top Secret with SCI eligibility or have an active Top Secret with SCI eligibility. </li>\n <li>Will be subject to a federal background investigation.</li>\n <li>Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field; equivalent work experience may be considered.</li>\n <li>Must hold a current 8570/8140 IAT Level II Certification (CCNA Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, CND, SSCP)</li>\n <li>Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in network administration, with a focus on Cisco technologies.</li>\n <li>Knowledge of Cisco networking technologies, including CCNA certification or equivalent experience.</li>\n <li>Familiarity with routing protocols (e.g., OSPF, EIGRP) and basic network architecture principles.</li>\n <li>Experience with network monitoring and management tools (e.g., SolarWinds, Wireshark).</li>\n <li>Basic understanding of network security measures and familiarity with firewall technologies.</li>\n <li>Exposure to VPN solutions and secure remote access technologies.</li>\n <li>Understanding of virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V) related to network operations.</li>\n <li>Familiarity with cloud networking concepts (e.g., AWS, Azure) is a plus.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Pay Transparency Statement</h2>AMERICAN SYSTEMS is committed to pay transparency for our applicants and employee-owners. The salary range for this position is USD $125,000.00/Yr. - USD $160,000/Yr. Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors permitted by law.
