    "ExternalDescriptionStr": "<p><b>Statement of the Job:</b><br>\n  The University of Maine Facilities Management Department seeks applications for Temporary Facilities Maintenance Worker CL1s. <b>Temporary full-time and part-time positions are available. Starting pay for these temporary positions is $17.80 per hour, with schedules to be determined.</b><br><br>\n  Essential duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:&nbsp;</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Using cleaning machines and equipment.</li>\n <li>Cleaning assigned rooms and/or buildings including restrooms by following defined instructions.</li>\n <li>Performing facility set-ups and take downs as directed.</li>\n <li>Monitoring materials and supplies of assigned cart or area, notifying lead worker and supervisor as needed.</li>\n <li>Removing snow on sidewalks and around building using shovel.</li>\n <li>Utilizing equipment to perform seasonal or regular maintenance.</li>\n <li>Adhering to safety procedures, including reporting mechanical and/or safety issues.</li>\n <li>Refilling paper products, soap, etc.&nbsp;</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br><b>About the University:</b><br>\n  The University of Maine is a community of more than 11,900 undergraduate and graduate students, and 2,500 employees located on the Orono campus, the regional campus in Machias, and throughout the state. Heavy work: The ability to lift up to 50 pounds frequently, and/or in excess of 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Lifting and exerting forces more than 50 pounds requires assistance by other employee(s) or mechanical assistance.
