    "requisitionDescription": "<p data-pasted=\"true\"><strong>Title:</strong> Health &amp; Food Safety Coordinator&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Reports to:</strong>    Health &amp; Food Safety Manager &amp; General Manager<br><br><strong>Based at:</strong>        Huron, OHIO</p><p><strong>Date Revised:</strong> December 2025<br><br><strong>Type of Employment: </strong>Full time, permanent, 5-days a week, Monday to Friday with potential weekends depending on business needs.  The nature of the position requires you to work occasional holidays, and extended hours in order to meet business requirements.</p><p><strong>Job Responsibilities and Accountabilities:</strong>&nbsp;</p><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\"><li style=\"margin-left: 24px;\">Ensure compliance with legislative requirements of the Ministry of Labor, OHSA, and WSIB</li><li style=\"margin-left: 24px;\">Enforce andmaintaincorporate health &amp; safety policies and standards</li><li style=\"margin-left: 24px;\">Conduct health &amp; safety inspection of Greenhouse, and Packinghouse, to ensure compliance OHSA</li><li style=\"margin-left: 24px;\">Identifyand evaluate hazardous conditions and practices in the workplace and recommend corrective actions</li><li style=\"margin-left: 24px;\">Coordinate and conduct training sessions for all employeesregardinghealth and safety practices and legislation</li><li style=\"margin-left: 24px;\">Communicate H&amp;S policies, procedures, training, and orientation manuals, and provide updates on weekly accident and injury reports</li><li style=\"margin-left: 24px;\">Inspect work areas, machinery and equipment for potential accidents and health hazards with Safety concerns</li><li style=\"margin-left: 24px;\">Assistin accident investigations and prepare accident and/or injury reports</li><li style=\"margin-left: 24px;\">Data entry and presentation development, document and record keeping of health &amp; safety activities</li><li style=\"margin-left: 24px;\">Lead the sanitation &amp; hygiene team: develop and implement cleaning/sanitation programs</li><li style=\"margin-left: 24px;\">Be part of the audit team andparticipateas the point of contact for the on-site audits</li><li style=\"margin-left: 24px;\"><span data-contrast=\"none\" lang=\"EN-US\" class=\"TextRun SCXW236145927 BCX8\"><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW236145927 BCX8\">Prepare all documentation for audits</span></span></li><li style=\"margin-left: 24px;\">Assistwith other tasks asrequired</li></ul><p><strong>Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:&nbsp;</strong></p><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\"><li style=\"margin-left: 24px;\">Minimum High School Diploma required</li><li style=\"margin-left: 24px;\">Post-Secondary Degree inanrelated field would be an asset</li><li style=\"margin-left: 24px;\">Minimum 2 years of experience working in the Health and Food Safety discipline, Greenhouse or Packinghouse work experience will be considered as an asset</li><li style=\"margin-left: 24px;\">Previousexperience with documentation of andparticipatingin audits, (SMETA/Primus)&nbsp;</li><li style=\"margin-left: 24px;\">Comprehensive knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety Acts (OHSA) and legislation</li><li style=\"margin-left: 24px;\">HACCP certification is an asset</li><li style=\"margin-left: 24px;\">Must be able to communicate in a clear and concise manner in Englishexcellent interpersonal and communication skills</li><li style=\"margin-left: 24px;\">Ability to take initiative and work independently, as well as part of a team</li></ul><p><strong>Physical Abilities: </strong>&nbsp;</p><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\"><li style=\"margin-left: 24px;\">Must be able to sit/stand for moderate periods of time</li><li style=\"margin-left: 24px;\">Must be able to travel between facilities and conduct inspections in offices, warehouses, and within external grounds</li><li style=\"margin-left: 24px;\">Occasionally work in a temperature-controlled environment of approximately 13 ˚C / 55 ˚F</li></ul><p><strong>Job Requirements:</strong> The incumbent will be committed to customer service excellence and leading by example.
