    "jobDescription": "<p><b>About the role</b></p><p>This position is primarily dedicated to providing insurance regulatory support on strategic transactions, examinations, inquiries and special projects for AIG’s U.S. Property Casualty business.  Internal clients include a broad array of AIG’s business units and functional support teams.  The role involves drafting or review of regulatory filings, legal research, monitoring of U.S. regulatory developments, advice and counsel to internal clients and engagement with external parties.   This is a dynamic and client-facing position for a self-starting, intellectually curious lawyer who is willing to dive in to a number of projects while at the same time tending to ordinary course matters needed to support AIG’s day-to-day operations.  The job will provide the opportunity to really learn the nuts and bolts of AIG’s U.S. operations and expand your legal expertise by being engage in a wide variety of matters handled within AIG’s regulatory team.</p><br /><p><b><u>Specific Responsibilities</u></b></p><ul><li>Prepare / review regulatory filings related to strategic transactions (e.g., Holding Company).</li><li>Partner and interact with state regulators.</li><li>Support issues related to consumer complaints, financial and market conduct examinations and information requests.</li><li>Oversee monitoring of insurance laws and insurance department actions.</li><li>Effectively work in a team environment, closely collaborate and provide team support with peers across Legal, Compliance and other control functions.</li></ul><br /><p><b><u>Education/Experience</u></b></p><ul><li><b>4&#43; years of major law firm or in-house experience in the insurance industry.</b></li><li>Problem-solving skills that demonstrate ability to critically evaluate and analyze issues and recommend well thought-out and/or creative solutions.</li><li><b>Regulatory experience in the Property &amp; Casualty insurance space.</b></li><li>Experience with drafting, mark-ups and negotiation of agreements.</li><li>Excellent written and oral communications skills.</li><li>Strong organizational, time management and project management skills.</li><li>Capable of working independently and/or as part of a team.</li><li>Good judgment and ability to provide timely legal advice.</li><li>Ability to identify and develop solutions to legal and business risks.</li><li>JD required.</li><li>Admittance to at least one state.</li></ul><br /><br /><br /><br /><p>For positions based in NYC, the base salary range is $170,000 - $180,000 and the position is eligible for a bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable incentive plan.
