    "description": "<p>Job Description for Project Engineer</p>\r\n<p>Department:      Waterworks Group</p>\r\n<p>Reports To:         Project Manager</p>\r\n<p><br></p>\r\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Summary of Responsibilities</span></p>\r\n<p>The Project Engineer responsibilities to help manage subcontracts, purchase orders, submittals, coordinates with site superintendent and additional oversite for all activities on a jobsite(s), including scheduling.</p>\r\n<p><br></p>\r\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Job Functions</span></p>\r\n<ul>\r\n<li><span> </span>Completes engineering projects by organizing and controlling project elements.</li>\r\n<li><span> </span>Develops project objectives by reviewing project proposals and plans and conferring with management.</li>\r\n<li><span> </span>Determines project responsibilities by identifying project phases and elements, assigning personnel to phases and elements, and reviewing bids from contractors.</li>\r\n<li><span> </span>Determines project specifications by studying product design, customer requirements, and performance standards.</li>\r\n<li><span> </span>Completes technical studies and prepares cost estimates.</li>\r\n<li><span> </span>Confirms product performance by designing and conducting tests.</li>\r\n<li><span> </span>Determines project schedule by studying project plan and specifications, calculating time requirements, and sequencing project elements.</li>\r\n<li><span> </span>Maintains project schedule by monitoring project progress, coordinating activities, and resolving problems.</li>\r\n<li><span> </span>Controls project plan by reviewing design, specifications, and plan, scheduling changes, and recommending actions.</li>\r\n<li><span> </span>Controls project costs by approving expenditures and administering contractor contracts.</li>\r\n<li><span> </span>Prepares project status reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends, recommending actions.</li>\r\n<li><span> </span>Maintains safe and clean working environment by enforcing procedures, rules, and regulations.</li>\r\n<li><span> </span>Maintains product and company reputation by complying with federal and state regulations.</li>\r\n<li><span> </span>Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.</li>\r\n</ul>\r\n<p><br></p>\r\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Qualifications and Experience</span></p>\r\n<ul>\r\n<li><span> </span>Experience in Microsoft Word and Excel, &amp; CAD</li>\r\n<li><span> </span>Bachelor’s or Master of Science in Civil Engineering or Construction Management.</li>\r\n<li><span> </span>Minimum of 2 years of experience with Water &amp; Wastewater projects</li>\r\n<li><span> </span>Working knowledge and experience in all phases of construction.</li>\r\n<li><span> </span>Proficient with MS office projects and Primavera (P6)</li>\r\n</ul>",
