Business Partnership (Core Focus)</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Serve as the financial liaison between Finance and Operations</li>\n<li>Translate financial data into actionable insights for department leaders</li>\n<li>Lead regular performance review discussions with internal stakeholders</li>\n<li>Improve transparency between Sales, Production, Project Management, and Finance</li>\n<li>Drive proactive conversations around margin, job costing, and efficiency</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>We are looking for someone who can step into operational meetings and confidently explain the financial impact of decisions — in plain language.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>Strong communication and influence across internal stakeholders is essential.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Financial Reporting &amp; Governance</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Own monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes</li>\n<li>Ensure compliance with Canadian GAAP and regulatory standards</li>\n<li>Lead audits and manage banking relationships</li>\n<li>Improve reporting speed, clarity, and usefulness</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Operational Controls &amp; Process Discipline</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Design and enforce internal controls across purchasing, billing, AR/AP, and payroll</li>\n<li>Build structured workflows and standardized SOPs</li>\n<li>Identify margin leakage and operational inefficiencies</li>\n<li>Improve internal accountability systems</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Construction Accounting, Job Costing &amp; WIP</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Strengthen project-based accounting practices</li>\n<li>Improve job costing accuracy across labour, materials, and subcontractors</li>\n<li>Oversee WIP reporting and real-time margin visibility</li>\n<li>Partner with operational leaders to address cost variances early</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Budgeting, Forecasting &amp; Cash Flow</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Lead annual budgeting and rolling forecasts</li>\n<li>Manage working capital and cash flow planning</li>\n<li>Support lender reporting and bonding requirements</li>\n<li>Deliver variance analysis with clear recommendations</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">KPIs, Dashboards &amp;
