Description
SUMMARY: Responsible for ware washing, surface cleaning, and transporting food and equipment throughout the restaurant. The steward supports overall kitchen and service operations by maintaining cleanliness, organization, and sanitation standards. This role follows procedures established by the Executive Steward to ensure consistency and to help deliver a high-quality product and experience to guests.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Wash all wares including but not limited to pots, pans, china, flatware, and glassware in accordance with sanitation and safety standards.
Properly store all wares following company procedures to ensure organization and efficiency.
Clean walls, floors, equipment, and assigned areas to maintain a safe and sanitary work environment.
Move, organize, and store equipment as directed to support kitchen and service operations.
Deliver products and supplies to designated food service areas in a timely and accurate manner.
Maintain the cleanliness and sanitation of the dish rooms and dish machine, ensuring efficient and consistent operation.
Special projects and assignments as business dictates
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position has no supervisory responsibilities
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
Previous experience in the restaurant industry preferred
Effective communication skills
Organized with attention to detail
Reliable and dependable with the ability to work late nights, weekends and event days
Ability to work independently in a fast paced environment
Ability to multi-task efficiently
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Ability to move 50 pounds
Ability to work for extended periods of time
