    "requisitionDescription": "<div><div><div><p><br></p><h2>Position Summary</h2><p>The Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Manager serves as the owner&rsquo;s representative responsible for planning, implementing, monitoring, and continuously improving EHS performance across construction on projects. This role ensures compliance with applicable federal, state, and local regulations while setting and enforcing the owner&rsquo;s EHS expectations for contractors, subcontractors, and consultants.</p><p>The EHS Manager focuses on proactive risk management, incident prevention, and fostering a strong safety culture, while coordinating with project teams without directly assuming contractor means-and-methods responsibilities.</p><p>Essential Duties and Responsibilities</p><h2>The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:</h2><p><strong>Environmental, Health and Safety Program Oversight</strong></p><ul><li><span style=\"font-size: inherit;\">Develop, implement, and maintain the Owner&rsquo;s Construction Safety Program and related policies.</span></li><li><span style=\"font-size: inherit;\">Establish site-specific safety requirements and expectations for projects of varying scope and complexity.</span></li><li><span style=\"font-size: inherit;\">Ensure alignment of contractor safety programs with Owner safety standards.</span></li><li><span style=\"font-size: inherit;\">Review and approve contractor Site-Specific Safety Plans (SSSPs).</span></li><li><span style=\"font-size: inherit;\">Program design authority: Safety training</span></li><li><span style=\"font-size: inherit;\">Policy ownership: Writing, implementing, and revise policies</span></li><li><span style=\"font-size: inherit;\">Serving as an expert in environmental regulations (permitting, reporting, compliance), driving it all</span></li><li><span style=\"font-size: inherit;\">Responsible for company-wide EHS systems in addition to site safety</span></li><li><span style=\"font-size: inherit;\">Be main point of contact for trade contractors&rsquo; safety managers</span></li></ul><p><strong>Regulatory Compliance</strong></p><ul><li><span style=\"font-size: inherit;\">Ensure construction activities comply with OSHA, state, and local safety regulations.</span></li><li><span style=\"font-size: inherit;\">Monitor regulatory changes and update Owner safety standards accordingly.</span></li><li><span style=\"font-size: inherit;\">Serve as the Owner&rsquo;s point of contact for regulatory agencies as needed.</span></li><li><span style=\"font-size: inherit;\">Support regulatory inspections, audits, and inquiries.</span></li></ul><p><strong>Contractor Environmental, Health and Safety Management</strong></p><ul><li><span style=\"font-size: inherit;\">Participate in contractor prequalification and selection by evaluating safety performance metrics (EMR, TRIR, OSHA history).</span></li><li><span style=\"font-size: inherit;\">Conduct orientation briefings for contractors and project stakeholders.</span></li><li><span style=\"font-size: inherit;\">Monitor contractor compliance through field audits and observations.</span></li><li><span style=\"font-size: inherit;\">Track and address repeated or systemic environmental and safety violations.</span></li></ul><p><strong>Field Safety Inspections &amp; Audits</strong></p><ul><li><span style=\"font-size: inherit;\">Perform regular and random jobsite environmental and safety inspections.</span></li><li><span style=\"font-size: inherit;\">Identify hazards and unsafe practices and issue corrective action requirements.</span></li><li><span style=\"font-size: inherit;\">Verify timely closure of corrective actions.</span></li><li><span style=\"font-size: inherit;\">Document findings and report trends to Owner leadership.</span></li></ul><p><strong>Incident Management</strong></p><ul><li><span style=\"font-size: inherit;\">Lead or support investigation of incidents, near misses, injuries, and property damage events.</span></li><li><span style=\"font-size: inherit;\">Ensure root cause analyses are completed and corrective actions implemented.</span></li><li><span style=\"font-size: inherit;\">Track incident metrics and prepare safety performance reports.</span></li><li><span style=\"font-size: inherit;\">Participate in return-to-work and incident follow-up as required by Owner policy.</span></li></ul><p><strong>Training &amp; Culture</strong></p><ul><li><span style=\"font-size: inherit;\">Develop and deliver Owner safety training requirements.</span></li><li><span style=\"font-size: inherit;\">Promote a culture of safety accountability and continuous improvement.</span></li><li><span style=\"font-size: inherit;\">Participate in toolbox talks, safety stand-downs, and leadership safety walks.</span></li><li><span style=\"font-size: inherit;\">Serve as an environmental and safety resource to project teams and leadership.</span></li></ul><p><strong>Reporting &amp; Metrics</strong></p><ul><li><span style=\"font-size: inherit;\">Track and report safety KPIs including incident rates, observations, inspections, and corrective actions.</span></li><li><span style=\"font-size: inherit;\">Prepare regular safety reports for Owner leadership and project teams.</span></li><li><span style=\"font-size: inherit;\">Identify trends and recommend improvements based on data analysis.</span></li></ul><p><strong>Skills &amp;
