This role is responsible for operating and maintaining advanced CAD/CAM milling equipment used to manufacture high-quality dental restorations.</p><p>The ideal candidate enjoys working with technology, takes pride in producing precise work, and thrives in a fast-paced production environment.</p><p><br></p><h2>Key Responsibilities</h2><h3>Milling Operations</h3><ul><li>Prepare, schedule, and manage milling jobs according to production priorities.</li><li>Operate CNC milling equipment used in the fabrication of dental restorations.</li><li>Monitor milling processes and make adjustments as needed to ensure quality results.</li><li>Load materials, tools, and digital files according to production specifications.</li><li>Perform routine machine maintenance, cleaning, and calibration.</li><li>Troubleshoot equipment and production issues as they arise.</li></ul><h3>Quality Control</h3><ul><li>Inspect milled restorations for accuracy, fit, and overall quality.</li><li>Identify defects and communicate concerns promptly.</li><li>Ensure all products meet company and customer quality standards.</li><li>Maintain accurate production and quality records.</li></ul><h3>Team Collaboration</h3><ul><li>Communicate effectively with team members and other departments regarding workflow and case status.</li><li>Assist with cross-training opportunities between Milling, Greenware, and other production departments as needed.</li><li>Support production goals by maintaining efficiency and meeting deadlines.</li></ul><h3>Continuous Improvement</h3><ul><li>Stay current with advancements in milling technology, materials, and manufacturing processes.</li><li>Contribute ideas that improve workflow, quality, and efficiency.</li></ul><h2>Qualifications</h2><h3>Required</h3><ul><li>High School Diploma or GED</li><li>Strong attention to detail and organizational skills</li><li>Basic computer proficiency</li><li>Ability to work independently and as part of a team</li><li>Mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills</li></ul><h3>Preferred</h3><ul><li>CNC milling experience</li><li>Dental laboratory experience</li><li>CAD/CAM or digital manufacturing experience</li><li>Manufacturing or production experience</li></ul><h2>Skills &amp; Competencies</h2><ul><li>Integrity and professionalism</li><li>Dependability and accountability</li><li>Strong attention to detail</li><li>Problem-solving and critical thinking</li><li>Effective communication skills</li><li>Positive team-oriented attitude</li><li>Ability to remain focused and productive while meeting deadlines</li></ul><h2>Physical Requirements</h2><ul><li>Ability to stand for extended periods</li><li>Frequent use of hands and fine motor skills</li><li>Ability to lift up to 25 pounds</li><li>Ability to safely work around production equipment</li></ul><h2>Work Environment</h2><h2><br></h2><h3>About D&amp;S</h3><p>D&amp;S is a manufacturer of dental appliances operating in a fast-paced, innovative, and collaborative production environment.
