Learn more about Careers at Admiral Insurance Group.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>See what it’s like to work in Admiral’s Underwriting department.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>The Company is an equal employment opportunity employer.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p>The <strong>Underwriter - Professional Liability</strong> will work in a team setting generating, underwriting and analyzing accounts for development of new and renewal designated line of business.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Compliance with underwriting documentation rules and guidelines.</li>\n <li>Maintain an acceptable underwriting profit.</li>\n <li>Adherence to Admiral underwriting guidelines and referral compliance.</li>\n <li>Act as referral authority for Associate Underwriters.</li>\n <li>Development and maintenance of key broker/agent relationships.</li>\n <li>Management and development of new business and broker relationships.</li>\n <li>Coordinate strategic marketing calls to key brokers (up to 25%).</li>\n <li>Participates in all internal company training and continuing education.</li>\n <li>Remains current on product releases as it pertains to Professional.</li>\n <li>Stay abreast and knowledgeable on market trends in terms of forms, coverage and appetite to maintain competitiveness.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Bachelor’s Degree required.</li>\n <li>Minimum of five years of commercial underwriting experience.</li>\n <li>Technical knowledge of professional lines of coverage.</li>\n <li>Applicable coursework toward attainment of a RPLU designation desired.</li>\n <li>Strong organization skills.</li>\n <li>Ability to manage deadlines effectively.</li>\n <li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills.</li>\n <li>Technical proficiency is required.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><em>#LI-FL1 #LI-HYBRID</em></p>\n<h2>Additional Company Details</h2>We do not accept any unsolicited resumes from external recruiting firms. The company offers a competitive compensation plan and robust benefits package for full time regular employees which for this role includes: Base Salary Range: $90,000 - $120,000 The actual salary for this position will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity and location of the role; the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment. Eligible to participate in the annual discretionary bonus program.
