Description

The U.S. mortgage market is a $14 trillion pillar of the economy — and much of it still runs on fax machines, overnight shipping, and manual workflows. Snapdocs is changing that. Our platform currently powers 20% of all real estate closings in the country, and we’re just getting started. We design workflow software and AI-driven automation that connects lenders, settlement teams, notaries, and investors — eliminating friction, reducing risk, and delivering a faster, simpler closing for every borrower. Our customers range from the largest mortgage lenders to independent title companies. They trust us because we solve real operational pain with empathy, rigor, and reliability. We’re backed by Sequoia, Y Combinator, and F-Prime, and we’re building for the long term. The Opportunity A mortgage closing is one of the biggest financial decisions most people make. Yet, the infrastructure behind it is held together with email threads and manual follow-up. Lenders, settlement companies, notaries, and secondary market participants need to coordinate across different systems and processes to complete a mortgage closing. This multi-party workflow results in high costs, frequent errors, and slow closing times. Snapdocs is on a mission to make those handoffs disappear. Snapdocs powers 1 in 4 mortgage closings. We are series D-backed, connected to thousands of lenders and title companies, and trusted with some of the most compliance-sensitive transactions in financial services. We've built the operating standard for mortgage closing automation. Now we're extending the platform. The Role Snapdocs already powers 1 in 4 mortgage closings. This role builds the layer that connects lenders and settlement before the closing to deliver faster, higher quality outcomes. You'll own and expand Snapdocs' pre-close platform and lead 0-to-1 development of a new product automating how lenders and settlement agents coordinate. The commercial opportunity is significant: faster, more connected pre-close workflows reduce costs across thousands of transactions per day. Snapdocs PMs operate like GMs. You own strategy, roadmap, pricing, and go-to-market for your product area. You'll define the problem, recruit early customers to co-build with, and drive toward revenue. You’ll work across Engineering, Data Science, Sales, Marketing, and Customer Success to ship products that are technically sound and commercially viable. Key Responsibilities Lead the 0-to-1 development of a new product connecting lenders and settlement agents: from problem definition and prioritization through MVP to revenue-generating scale. Own and expand Snapdocs' pre-close & settlement platform offering. Identify and recruit early customer partners to co-build with; travel occasionally to be on-site during early iteration. Drive strategy, roadmap, pricing, and go-to-market for your product area in close partnership with Sales, Customer Success, and Marketing. Partner with Engineering and Data Science to build products that are technically sound and commercially viable. Use AI as your operating model to accelerate discovery, spec-writing, and prototyping, building alongside your engineering partners. Qualifications & Experience 7+ years of combined product management and strategy experience, with at least 3 years owning business outcomes directly in a senior PM role Demonstrated track record of 0-to-1 product development: you've taken something from concept to revenue and scaled usage Strong consulting or strategic background preferred — comfort structuring ambiguous problems and driving recommendations with data and clear rationale Technical fluency: comfortable navigating integration architecture, API ecosystems, and making tradeoffs with engineering Exceptional written communication — structured, executive-ready documentation is a core expectation of this role Experience in mortgage, fintech, real estate, title, or adjacent regulated industries preferred Knowledge / Skills Strategic builder: You set a clear vision and build toward it across short and long time horizons. You use data to make decisions, track the health of what you ship, and course-correct when something's off. You define the problem, find the customers, and drive toward outcomes. Customer-driven: You collaborate closely with customers to understand their goals and deliver the best product. You ask the questions that surface the real problem, anticipate challenges before they surface, and translate what you learn into a product roadmap. Commercial owner: You own the revenue and results for your product area in close partnership with Sales and Customer Success. You’re comfortable driving go-to-market, defining pricing, and measuring and influencing commercial outcomes. Integration thinker: You understand multi-party ecosystems. You can navigate the technical and commercial complexity of connecting systems in scalable and effective ways. AI-native: AI is your operating system. You use AI tools to accelerate your work end to end and can speak clearly to where it helped and where it didn't. Compensation & Benefits We believe in being upfront about pay. The base salary range for this role is determined by your work location and falls into one of our geographic compensation zones: Zone 1 (San Francisco Bay Area, Seattle Metro, New York City): $196,000 - $245,000 Zone 2 (All other U.S. locations): $171,500 - $214,500 Where you land within the range depends on your experience, skills, and how you'll make an impact in the role.
