That is why we are dedicated to protecting and caring for vision every day.</em></align-center><p><br></p><p><strong>Position Summary</strong></p><p>The Optical Technician is responsible for collecting and recording ocular and systemic patient histories, visual acuities, BP, IOP, Auto refractions, Manifest Refractions, performing external examinations, and dry-eye testing, as well as disease specific extra testing. Travel between clinic locations and/or overtime may be required based on operational needs.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Essential Functions and Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li>Collecting and recording patient medical history</li><li>Instructing patients on post-operative care, medication use, contact lens care and exam expectations.</li><li>Performing visual acuity testing, auto and Manifest Refractions (measurements for the glasses prescription), tonometry (measuring eye pressure)</li><li>Measuring pupil size and reactivity&nbsp;</li><li>Testing elements of movement (eye muscle function)</li><li>Performing confrontational visual field testing, pachymetry (Corneal thickness measurement)</li><li>Performing dry eye testing&nbsp;</li><li>Maintaining a sanitized environment</li><li>Performing corneal topography, retinal nerve fiber layer measurements, retinal thickness and topography, fluorescein angiography, B-scan ultrasonography</li><li>Assisting with contact lens fitting and instructing patients on insertion and removal of contacts.</li><li>Preparing for and assisting with in-office procedures including consenting patients</li><li>Participating in light cleaning of the facility</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>Benefits</strong></p><ul><li>Medical, dental, and vision insurance</li><li>Matching 401(k) plan</li><li>Paid Time Off&nbsp;</li><li>Paid holidays</li><li>Employee discount</li><li>Certification reimbursement</li><li>Career growth opportunities</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>About Sight360</strong></p><p>We’ve assembled highly capable and credentialed multidisciplinary teams across ophthalmology, optometry, and optical retail services to deliver a comprehensive, 360-degree approach to vision care.
