Your care, your presence, and your consistency make a real difference.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Apply Today...Whether you’re looking for higher earnings, flexibility, or a better work environment, you’ll find it here.</strong></p>\n<p><strong>Elderwood of Uihlein at Lake Placid - 185 Old Military Road Lake Placid, NY 12946</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p><strong>(LPN - Licensed Practical Nurse):</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li><p>Administer medications and treatments to assigned residents as ordered by physician and utilizing the five rights as applicable.</p></li>\n <li><p>Direct and monitor the personal care duties and nursing care procedures carried out by Nursing Assistants of the assigned team.</p></li>\n <li><p>Assist Nursing Assistants with direct care of residents, as necessary.</p></li>\n <li><p>Report to Unit Manager/Assistant Unit Manager or Charge Nurse Supervisor unusual symptoms, changes of condition, daily needs, and progress of residents.</p></li>\n <li><p>Follow the Plan of Care for each resident, and monitor the performance of Nursing Assistants in implementation of the care plan.</p></li>\n <li><p>Receive controlled substances from the shift Supervisory Nurse and is responsible for all aspects of the storage and distribution of these medications; ensure proper and safe placement and use of medications stored in medication cart, stock medication cupboards, medication room refrigerator and narcotic cabinets.</p></li>\n <li><p>Document as applicable in the care plans, Nursing Notes, Medical Administration Records, Treatment Records and other required records.</p></li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>LPN - Licensed Practical Nurse Skills/Competencies:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Exceptional customer service skills</li>\n <li>Problem-solving skills</li>\n <li>Strong decision making ability</li>\n <li>Proficient computer skills</li>\n <li>Excellent verbal and written communication</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>From</h2>\n<h2>Up to</h2>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>(LPN - Licensed Practical Nurse):</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li><p>Credentials as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) with a current state license required. </p></li>\n <li><p>LPN Training and work experience in a geriatric setting preferred. </p></li>\n <li><p>Ability to supervise and work well with other personnel required. </p></li>\n <li><p>Ability to communicate well verbally and in writing required. </p></li>\n <li><p>Caring, respectful attitude towards residents required. </p></li>\n <li><p>Physical stamina for constant activity required. </p></li>\n <li>Ability to perform tasks to established standards of excellence required.</li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>This position requires regular interaction with residents, coworkers, visitors, and/or supervisors.
