Discover all the possibilities of a career at Northside today.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p>As a Charge Nurse, coordinates daily activities and distribution of work in area during scheduled shift; as a Preceptor Nurse, acts as a professional educator and resource for new employees, demonstrating clinical expertise and competence.  The approximate amount of overall participation in direct patient care activities is 80% and Charge‑Preceptor duties is 20%.  The range of roles between Charge and Preceptor may vary dependent upon patient acuity and volume issues.  Works with a unit specific patient population.  Care and/or services will be provided to pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.  This position is required to set priorities based on the situation at hand, and is a combination of direct patient care, management (charge), and education (preceptor) roles with responsibility for a unit during an eight (8) to twelve (12) hour shift.</p>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong><u>KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES, LICENSE OR CERTIFICATION REQUIRED:</u></strong></p>\n<li>Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing </li>\n<li>Licensed as a RN in the State of Georgia in good standing without limitations.</li>\n<li>Must hold Certified in American Heart Association’s Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS).</li>\n<li>Two (2) years of experience as a Registered Professional Nurse (RN).</li>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong><u>KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES/LICENSE OR CERTIFICATION PREFERRED:</u></strong></p>\n<li>BSN degree</li>\n<li>Two (2) years recent experience in current clinical specialty (i.e., critical care, surgical services, diabetes education, radiology, etc.)</li>\n<li>Additional Life Support credential (ACLS, PALS, NRP, etc.) or other clinical specialty certifications in specific units. </li>\n<li>Visual color acuity depending on the role in specific units.</li>\n<h2>Work Hours:</h2>8-1630\n<h2>Weekend Requirements:</h2>No\n<h2>On-Call Requirements:</h2>No",
