This role ensures that dealers, end users, and manufacturing systems interact with product information that is clear, validated, and production ready. Working across product management, engineering, IT, and operations, the modeler configures, documents, and maintains electronic product rules that drive ordering accuracy, pricing, and manufacturability.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, logically minded, and experienced with product-based rules, conditional logic, and structured data. They should enjoy collaborating with business teams, solving ambiguity, and turning product knowledge into clean, reliable configuration logic.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p>\n<p><strong>Product Modeling & Configuration</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Build and maintain product configuration models using internal tools (e.g., Magic Tool, Frontier/FRN platforms, PCM workbench).</li>\n <li>Translate business and engineering requirements into rules, validations, option logic, segment structures, and dynamic behavior.</li>\n <li>Configure model options, families, select tables, matrices, color lists, and dependent attributes for new and existing products.</li>\n <li>Maintain dynamic SKU or single‑SKU logic depending on product strategy.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Cross‑Functional Coordination</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Partner closely with product managers, engineers, and internal customers to document requirements and ensure accurate model behavior.</li>\n <li>Support manufacturing, purchasing, and customer service by ensuring configuration outputs match operational needs and production flows.</li>\n <li>Participate in product introduction planning and model setup for new launches (such as Roman shades, awnings, power shades, etc.).</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Data & Rule Quality Assurance</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Conduct testing to ensure correct rule execution, error handling, and compatibility logic.</li>\n <li>Troubleshoot issues in production ordering or manufacturing systems related to configuration defects.</li>\n <li>Validate configuration lists, matrices, retrieval tables, BOM-related logic, and display behavior for end‑users.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Documentation & Standards</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Create and maintain documentation for configuration rules, logic flows, product behavior, and change logs.</li>\n <li>Follow established naming conventions, configuration standards, and modeling processes as outlined in internal modeling guides (e.g., MagicToolTaskNotes).</li>\n <li>Contribute to process improvements and best practices for configuration modeling across the organization.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Requirements</h2>\n<p><strong><u>Education and Experience</u></strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Required Qualifications</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience.</li>\n <li>5+ years in a manufacturing environment.</li>\n <li>Strong analytical and logical reasoning skills.</li>\n <li>Ability to interpret product specifications, BOM structures, and engineering requirements.</li>\n <li>High attention to detail and ability to manage complex rule sets.</li>\n <li>Proficiency in Excel and comfort working with structured data.</li>\n <li>Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate across teams.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Preferred Qualifications</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Experience in window treatments or other highly configurable product industries.</li>\n <li>Experience with product configuration systems (Frontier 2.2 / 3.2 / 4.2, Magic Tool, PCM, or similar).</li>\n <li>Familiarity with scripting logic, matrices, or rule-driven systems.</li>\n <li>Experience supporting both ordering and manufacturing configuration flows.</li>\n <li>Ability to work with IT teams on integrations, data mapping, or tool enhancements.</li>\n</ul>\n<p>How We Work to Deliver a Best Experience: Our Culture</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Our Core Value: We do the right thing, always</li>\n <li>Our Seven Cultural Behaviors\n  <ul>\n   <li>Empowerment - We trust our people.</li>\n   <li>Ownership - We take 100% responsibility for our roles actions, and results.</li>\n   <li>Leadership - We all lead by example and talk direct with respect (DWR).</li>\n   <li>One Team - We are One Springs Team.</li>\n   <li>Customer First - We consider our customers' needs before every decision.</li>\n   <li>Continuous Innovation - We are constantly learning, innovating, and improving.</li>\n   <li>Speed - We define priorities and operate with a sense of urgency and agility.</li>\n  </ul></li>\n</ul>\n<p><em>The annual base/hourly wage for this position is reasonably expected to be $75,000/year.
