Our Conference and Events team is looking for a planner to join our ranks and share in our passion for creating signature events. If you have what it takes to help plan and host educational and invitational conferences and special events—and you’re looking for growth and increased responsibility in your career—then let’s talk! Key Responsibilities Leading end-to-end planning and execution of conferences and events, from concept through onsite delivery and post-event evaluation Designing and delivering creative, high-impact experiences that align with business objectives and elevate the Commonwealth brand Owning program timelines, budgets, and logistics, ensuring all elements are executed within established financial and scheduling parameters Developing and managing comprehensive conference logistics, including co-coordinating travel manifests, hotel accommodations, agenda development, and attendee experience strategy Researching, recommending, and securing venues, décor, restaurants, activities, and entertainment, and aligning selections with program goals and brand standards Leading vendor sourcing, negotiation, and management, including audiovisual, transportation, DMC partners, venue partners, etc. Serving as the primary point of contact for advisors and key stakeholders, delivering a high-touch, service-oriented experience and building lasting relationships Driving alignment with internal departments to ensure cohesive messaging and timely delivery of all program materials Overseeing event technology strategy and execution of registration and mobile app platforms along with business meeting AV production, while identifying opportunities for process improvements and enhanced attendee engagement Evaluating program success and identifying opportunities for continuous improvement, incorporating feedback and data into future planning Supporting, guiding, and mentoring junior team members Core Strengths and Skills Strong project management skills with demonstrated experience managing complex events, budgets, and internal/external stakeholders Proven ability to lead event execution with ownership and accountability Creative, strategic thinker capable of translating business goals into impactful event experiences Strong negotiation and vendor management skills Excellent communication and relationship-building with internal and external stakeholders Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities Solutions-oriented and able to remain calm and effective under pressure Proficient in event technology platforms such as Cvent Positive, collaborative team player with a strong customer focus Ability to travel up to 25%–30% Additional Skills and Knowledge 4+ years of experience planning and executing conferences and events with moderate guidance Working knowledge of budget tracking and vendor coordination, including exposure to contract review and cost management Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and event platforms (Cvent, Salesforce) Ability to manage multiple programs simultaneously and coordinate effectively across internal stakeholders and external partners Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills, with a proactive, team-oriented approach CMP certification and financial services experience a plus Have we piqued your curiosity?
