Determines functional and measurable short and long term goals and designs an appropriate treatment program. Considers discharge options at time of initial evaluation. Treatment – Performs treatment as outlined in the initial evaluation. Modifies treatment as necessary, updates goals and re-evaluates discharge plans throughout the course of treatment. Demonstrates thorough knowledge of treatment techniques and applies appropriately. Treatment should include patient and family education and communication/interaction with appropriate team members. Documentation – Clinical documentation is timely, objective and complete. Administrative documentation including but not limited to billing and outcome measures is accurate and timely. 4. Education – Assumes personal responsibility for continuing education and professional development. Provides education to therapy staff, system employees and community. 5. Supervision – Supervises the patient care activities of assistants, aides and volunteers. Delegates routine care to supportive personnel as appropriate. May supervise students. COMPETENCIES & WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS (e.g.license, registration, certification) Must be licensed by the Connecticut Department of Public Health. New graduates will be considered. EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS: Graduate of an accredited curriculum with a Masters of Occupational Therapy. Must be licensed by the Connecticut Department of Public Health. New graduate may be considered. BLS certification required
