    "description": "<h2>Department Overview</h2>\n<p>The Peds Rehab Supervisor will oversee and manage a team of approximately 15 physical therapists,</p>\n<p>occupational therapists, and/or speech-language pathologists within the acute care, outpatient, and/or NICU</p>\n<p>setting. This role involves a combination of clinical and administrative responsibilities, ensuring high-quality</p>\n<p>patient care, effective team performance, and efficient departmental operations. The supervisor will work</p>\n<p>closely with multidisciplinary teams to foster a collaborative environment and support the continuous</p>\n<p>professional development of staff.</p>\n<h2>Function/Duties of Position</h2>\n<p><strong>Team Leadership and Supervision</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Lead and supervise a team of physical therapists, occupational therapists, and speech-language pathologists.</li>\n <li>Conduct regular performance evaluations, provide constructive feedback, and implement development plans.</li>\n <li>Evaluate staff’s competency and intervenes to optimize performance and ensure safe, quality, effective and efficient patient care.</li>\n <li>Oversee recruitment, hiring, orientation, and training of new staff members.</li>\n <li>Ensure staff compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Clinical and Operational Management</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Allocate and manage resources effectively to meet patient care needs.</li>\n <li>Monitor and evaluate productivity, ensuring optimal scheduling and workload distribution.</li>\n <li>Address and resolve clinical issues, providing guidance and support to staff.</li>\n <li>Maintain up-to-date knowledge of best practices and regulatory requirements in rehabilitation therapy.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Quality Improvement and Performance Enhancement</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Lead quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and departmental efficiency.</li>\n <li>Implement evidence-based practices and protocols to improve clinical care.</li>\n <li>Collect and analyze data to monitor performance metrics and identify areas for improvement.</li>\n <li>Collaborate with other departments to ensure coordinated and integrated patient care</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Communication and Collaboration</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Foster open communication within the team and across other hospital departments.</li>\n <li>Facilitate regular team meetings to discuss patient care, address concerns, and share updates.</li>\n <li>Act as a liaison between the rehabilitation department and hospital administration.</li>\n <li>Promote a positive and collaborative work environment.</li>\n <li>Participate in hospital committees, representing the rehab department</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Direct Patient Care</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Provide direct clinical care to patients, maintaining clinical expertise and understanding of current patient care practices.</li>\n <li>Assess, develop, and implement individualized treatment plans for patients in the acute care setting.</li>\n <li>Collaborate with other healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive and coordinated care.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Other Duties as Assigned</strong></p>\n<h2>Required Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Master's degree or higher in Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, or Speech-Language Pathology.</li>\n <li>Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience in a pediatric care setting, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role. </li>\n <li>Current and valid license to practice in Oregon in either Physical Therapy, Speech-Language Pathology, or Occupational Therapy </li>\n <li>American Heart BLS for Healthcare Provider.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Job Related Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (Competencies):</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Leadership: Ability to inspire, motivate, and guide a diverse team. </li>\n <li>Clinical Expertise: Advanced knowledge and skills in rehabilitation therapy. </li>\n <li> Communication: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal. </li>\n <li> Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. </li>\n <li>Adaptability: Flexibility to adapt to changing clinical and operational needs. </li>\n <li> Professionalism: Commitment to maintaining the highest standards of ethical and professional conduct. </li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Preferred Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Healthcare administration coursework or degree </li>\n <li>Union experiences preferred</li>\n <li>Pediatric acute care experience </li>\n <li>NICU experience </li>\n <li> Pediatric outpatient experience </li>\n <li> 2 years of recent formal or informal leadership experience </li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Additional Details</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Office work schedule associated with leadership in a clinical setting, i.e. may require long hours to achieve timely completion of work projects.</li>\n <li> Required prioritization of multiple projects, activities, and assignments </li>\n <li>Repeated interruptions in an environment of frequent change and fluctuations</li>\n <li>May be exposed to excessive auditory and visual stimulation </li>\n <li> Accepts accountability and responsibility of the assigned work area </li>\n <li> May be required to attend out of town conferences according to hospital travel and reimbursement policies</li>\n <li> Subject to computer work for several hours as needed </li>\n <li> Exercises the ability to implement a flexible schedule to meet
