Receives, sorts, prices and prepares donated items for display in the store; determines suitability and pricing of items based on established standards; assists in maintaining the orderliness and cleanliness of the warehouse area.&nbsp; The Warehouse Worker will assist with loading, unloading, and sorting donations; moving donations and other materials into the warehouse; assist in the set-up, clean up and break down of the warehouse.&nbsp; He/she may also act in the capacity of a Truck Helper as needed.&nbsp; Assists in picking-up donations by riding in a Salvation Army truck and lifting, carrying, and/or hauling donations into the truck and unloading the same at the warehouse; assists in navigating for the Truck Driver; ensures the accountability, security, and safety of the donations when in route; assists in maintaining the vehicle in proper working order and in compliance with established standards.&nbsp; Receive, store, and distribute donations.&nbsp; Daily loading and unloading and placement of donated items into the warehouse. Explains policy to customers regarding the types of items that can be accepted. Prepares donation receipts for customers; ensures the accuracy and completeness of the same.&nbsp; \\r\\n\\tMaintains good relationship with donors to promote a favorable image of The Salvation Army. Unloads donations from truck upon arrival at warehouse; distributes items to appropriate locations in the warehouse.\\r\\n\\r\\n\\r\\n&nbsp;\\r\\n\\r\\n\\r\\n\\tLoads truck of items to be taken to the dump. Receives, inspects and sorts donated items such as clothes, shoes, household items, bric-a-brack, etc. according to the category and condition.\\r\\n\\r\\n\\r\\n&nbsp;\\r\\n\\r\\n\\r\\n\\t&nbsp;Selects items suitable for store display and distributes same to appropriate area for further sorting and/or pricing; discards items in accordance with established procedures; and tags items with specially coded tickets and/or prices in accordance with established procedures.\\r\\n\\r\\n\\r\\n&nbsp;\\r\\n\\r\\n&nbsp;\\r\\n\\r\\nPhysical Requirements and Working Conditions:\\r\\n\\r\\n&nbsp;\\r\\n\\r\\n\\r\\n\\tWork requires the ability to lift and carry and/or push/pull heavy (over 50lbs.) materials, supplies and equipment frequently. Heavy mobility duties are usually performed by combinations of standing, walking, climbing ladders or steps, bending, reaching or transporting merchandise on frequent change basis relieved by fewer periods of sitting or operating a vehicle.\\r\\n\\r\\n\\r\\n&nbsp;\\r\\n\\r\\n\\r\\n\\tWork is performed in a stockroom, warehouse or store environment where there are discomforts associated with changes in weather.
