    "description": "<h2>Position Summary</h2>\n<p></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>The Orlando Health Colon and Rectal Institute is seeking a full-time Colorectal Surgeon <strong>with a focused interest in Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) and Endometriosis</strong> to join our team. This is a unique opportunity to help develop and shape a specialized, multidisciplinary program within a well-established group.</p>\n<p>Qualified candidates must be fellowship-trained and board-certified in Colon and Rectal Surgery and be eligible for licensure/work in the state of Florida. Responsibilities include inpatient and outpatient surgical and endoscopic care, consultative services, outpatient clinics, clinical research.  Candidates must have an interest and passion for teaching, as they will be involved in training the next generation of physicians with Orlando Health’s Fellowship Programs. Experienced physicians with a strong commitment to education and multidisciplinary care are encouraged to apply.</p>\n<p>The Orlando Health Colon and Rectal Institute is a division of the Orlando Health Cancer Institute that has an established clinical research program, ACGME-accredited Colon and Rectal Surgery fellowship program, and a non-accredited Minimally Invasive fellowship program. The Rectal Cancer program is NAPRC-accredited and recently was re-certified through 2027.</p>\n<p>Complementing the services of the Colon and Rectal Institute, Orlando Health has a robust Digestive Health Institute with a world class team of gastroenterology specialists. In addition to oncology, surgical oncology and radiation oncology departments. We also have a large integrative medicine department which includes cancer support community and a medical genetics team. The Cancer Institute includes divisions of surgical, medical, and radiation oncology, with a sub specialized focused on cancer care, serving the patients with our tertiary center downtown, as well as services at our 4 regional cancer institutes throughout central Florida.
