    "description": "<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>Experience & Education/Certification:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li><strong>CDL B required or able to obtain within a year of employment.</strong></li>\n <li>1 year field experience repairing heavy construction equipment required. </li>\n <li>High school diploma, GED, or trade school preferred. </li>\n <li>Valid driver's license required</li>\n <li>Must be able to work early mornings, evenings, and weekends. </li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Required Skills & Knowledge:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Must be comfortable with all components of heavy construction machinery including: diesel engines, power transmissions, hydrostatic drives. </li>\n <li>Open and closed circuit hydraulics as well as compensating systems</li>\n <li>Possess trouble shooting and repair of electronic systems on modern machinery. </li>\n <li>Ability to make repair decisions quickly and rationally. </li>\n <li>Expected to keep all sensitive material confidential. </li>\n <li>Must have a thorough knowledge of all types of equipment operations such as: pipe work, dirt moving, concrete paving and asphalt paving. </li>\n <li>Able to arrange schedules, recommend machinery to be down for repair as needed, and able to make parts orders. </li>\n <li>Ability to give and receive written or oral instructions. </li>\n <li>Must have ability to work independently. </li>\n <li>Willingness to learn and adapt to change. </li>\n <li>Cat Et & SIS, Pro SIS (Volvo) knowledge/Experience. </li>\n <li>Basic skills in OXY/Acetylene torch. </li>\n <li>Basic Stick Welding 7018,6010</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p><strong>2nd Shift (3pm-11am)</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>The primary objective of equipment maintenance is the repair and up-keep of production equipment; making sure to keep it in a safe, effective operating condition so that production and quality targets can be met on time and at cost. </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Assist equipment technicians or service personnel with technical support. This will be accomplished by phone/email or directly at job site. </li>\n <li>Develop quick and accurate communication with field personnel and dispatch. </li>\n <li>Assure quality of repairs to minimize recall/duplicate work. </li>\n <li>Assure compliance with all governmental and company safety polices. </li>\n <li>Comply with Human Resources policies. </li>\n <li>Review shop tool requirements to do work more efficient. </li>\n <li>Observe and report any deficiencies to forward our PM program for effectiveness and possible additions to our program. </li>\n <li>Participate in technical training with dealer / manufacturer and as much as possible and pass on that training to other mechanics.  </li>\n <li>Work closely with our Field Services Dispatcher and our parts personnel to assure on time delivery of parts. </li>\n <li>Work daily with Internal Department, Field Managers and Superintendents as well as Field Mechanics. </li>\n <li>Keeps an open communication link with our vendors and manufacturers. </li>\n <li>Interpret data in our computer database to help make repair / replace decisions. </li>\n <li>This position will be hourly and require overtime as needed. </li>\n <li>Must have sufficient tools to do the job.
