The Role
Cineflix Media is currently looking to fill the role of Accounting Clerk. This is a full-time role based in our Toronto, Ontario office on a hybrid, minimum three-day per week, in-office schedule.
Reporting to the Director of Accounts Payable & Procurement this role supports the accounting team with responsibilities including accounts payable processing, expense reporting, invoice management, credit card reconciliations, reporting, and general administrative support. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with internal teams, vendors, and banking partners to ensure accurate, efficient, and timely financial processing.
The position offers strong growth potential over time, with the opportunity to take on increased responsibility and further professional development, depending on experience and performance.
The salary range for this role is 45,000 – 50,000
Duties and Responsibilities
Process accounts payable transactions in an accurate and timely manner.
Review, code, and process invoices, ensuring proper documentation and approvals.
Track and process employee expenses, maintaining accurate records.
Maintain vendor relations, including responding to inquiries and resolving discrepancies.
Perform reconciliations, including credit card reconciliations, using Microsoft Excel (spreadsheets, reconciliations).
Support reporting activities and maintain financial records using Microsoft Office Suite.
Maintain and update records within accounting systems (Microsoft Great Plains preferred).
Coordinate with internal teams, vendors, and external partners to support financial operations.
Follow up on outstanding items and assist with problem solving as required.
Other duties as assigned.
Skills and Qualifications
Experience in accounts payable, invoice processing, expense management, or a similar accounting support role.
• Comfortable managing vendor relations and responding to inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel (spreadsheets, reconciliations) and Microsoft Office Suite.
• A high level of attention to detail, with the ability to maintain accuracy across financial records.
• Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
• Clear and professional communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with internal teams and external partners.
• Strong follow-up and problem-solving abilities, with a proactive approach to resolving discrepancies.
• Experience working with accounting systems (Microsoft Great Plains preferred, not mandatory).
• Demonstrated reliability and accuracy in completing financial and administrative tasks.
• 2–3 years of similar work experience.
