INVIDI’s developers are self-motivated quick studies, can-do individuals who embrace the challenge of solving difficult and complex problems.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">About the role:</span></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer (Full Stack – Java/Python/JavaScript) to help us build scalable, high-quality products and applications.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>This role primarily focuses on Java-based backend development, with additional responsibilities in Python services and modern frontend development using JavaScript frameworks. You will contribute across the stack, helping design and build both backend services and user-facing interfaces.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>If you have hands-on experience in Java, Python, and frontend development (React, Vue.js, or similar) and are passionate about Agile methodologies, we’d love to hear from you. In this role, you will design, implement, and maintain scalable components and frameworks across the full software development lifecycle.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>The position will report directly to the Technical Manager of Software Development and will be based in our Chennai, India office.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Key responsibilities:</span></p>\n<p> </p>\n<ul>\n<li>Design, develop, implement, and maintain backend services using Java (Spring Boot) and Python</li>\n<li>Build and enhance frontend applications using modern JavaScript frameworks (e.g., React, Vue.js)</li>\n<li>Develop and integrate RESTful APIs with frontend components</li>\n<li>Collaborate with cross-functional/product teams to deliver end-to-end features</li>\n<li>Work as part of a Scrum team to deliver tasks aligned with the Definition of Done</li>\n<li>Ensure code quality, performance, and scalability across both backend and frontend layers</li>\n<li>Identify and resolve immediate and potential issues in applications</li>\n<li>Collaborate with engineers on troubleshooting, debugging, coding, and testing activities</li>\n<li>Participating in group meetings to discuss projects, objectives, and timelines in a fast-paced environment</li>\n<li>Contribute to UI/UX improvements and ensure responsive, performant user interfaces</li>\n<li>As part of DevOps, participate in an on-call rotation (~1 week per month), being reachable and able to respond to alerts</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">You must have:</span></p>\n<p> </p>\n<ul>\n<li>Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field</li>\n<li>4+ years of experience designing and developing Java-based applications, preferably on the cloud</li>\n<li>Strong understanding of object-oriented design, data structures, and algorithms</li>\n<li>Proficiency in Java and Spring Boot</li>\n<li>Hands-on experience with Python for backend services, scripting, or data processing</li>\n<li>Experience building and consuming RESTful APIs (JSON-based services)</li>\n<li>Strong frontend development experience using JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and frameworks such as React or Vue.js</li>\n<li>Experience integrating frontend applications with backend services</li>\n<li>Familiarity with test frameworks such as JUnit, Behave, and Mockito</li>\n<li>Experience with relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL)</li>\n<li>Experience with AWS cloud services and deploying scalable applications</li>\n<li>Experience with version control systems (Git, GitHub, Bitbucket)</li>\n<li>Familiarity with tools like JIRA, Confluence</li>\n<li>Experience with build tools such as Maven or Gradle</li>\n<li>Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills</li>\n<li>Ability to write clean, maintainable, and testable code</li>\n<li>Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">It will be very good if you have:</span></p>\n<p> </p>\n<ul>\n<li>Experience with advanced JavaScript concepts and modern frontend tooling (e.g., Webpack, Vite)</li>\n<li>Experience with server-side JavaScript (Node.js) or universal/isomorphic applications</li>\n<li>Understanding of UI/UX best practices and responsive design</li>\n<li>Experience designing system workflows and architecture diagrams</li>\n<li>Knowledge of microservices architecture</li>\n<li>Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices</li>\n<li>Experience in the Cable or Satellite industry</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Physical Requirements:</span></p>\n<p> </p>\n<ul>\n<li>INVIDI is a conscious, clean, well-organized, and supportive office environment.</li>\n<li>Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer are normal.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Equal Opportunities and Accommodations Statement</span></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>INVIDI is proud to be an equal opportunity employer, seeking to create a welcoming and diverse environment.
