We are seeking a Full Time Animal Care Technicians to add to our team. No experience required, we are happy to train the right candidates!</p>\r\n<p><br></p>\r\n<p>Barrick Family Farm, LLP has pork production sites located in the rural Fosston and Ada, MN areas. These are newly remodeled/constructed sites, breed to finish. The pork production and employees are managed by a management company out of Southern Minnesota, Protein Sources, LLP https://www.proteinsourcesmanagement.com/ in partnership with PIC https://www.pic.com/</p>\r\n<p>Barrick Family Farms’ accelerated innovation brings the pork industry to the next level, offering state of the art technology in clean environments. Employees need to be at least 16 years old to work at the sites.</p>\r\n<p><br></p>\r\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Shift:<span> </span></span>Full-time day shift flexible 7am-3pm, Monday-Friday with short shifts on rotating weekends (typically every 3rd) and rotating holidays.</p>\r\n<p><br></p>\r\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">What you’ll do:<span> </span></span>Our Animal Care Technicians provide daily care, feeding, and barn cleaning and maintenance for pregnant/mother sows and their piglets. While experience in this field is preferred, it is not necessary as we are happy to provide on-the-job training.</p>\r\n<p><br></p>\r\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Our animals are our top priority. Respect and care for all animals is required at all times.</span></p>\r\n<p><br></p>\r\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Daily duties include:</span></p>\r\n<ul>\r\n<li>Maintain and monitor overall animal health, care and treatment</li>\r\n<li>General facility cleaning, maintenance and hygiene</li>\r\n<li>Follow all safety rules and practices and encourage coworkers to do the same.</li>\r\n<li>Ensures that proper biosecurity protocols are followed by all that may or do come onto the site.</li>\r\n</ul>\r\n<ul>\r\n<li>Ensures that documentation and records are accurate and complete.</li>\r\n</ul>\r\n<ul>\r\n<li>Performs related activities as directed.</li>\r\n<li>Manages personal self-development to prepare for new responsibilities and challenges in a changing environment.</li>\r\n</ul>\r\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Requirements:</span></p>\r\n<ul>\r\n<li>Valid driver’s license as the individual will need to use a company vehicle to move the short distance from site to site.</li>\r\n</ul>\r\n<ul>\r\n<li>Dependable transportation to and from work is required.</li>\r\n<li>Dedicated, dependable, goal-oriented, and motivated.</li>\r\n<li>Being able to work and communicate effectively with internal and external clients is required.</li>\r\n<li>Independently manage, organize, and prioritize work with minimal supervision and with effective time management skills.</li>\r\n<li>Capable of standing on concrete for 8 hours per day, walking, stooping, bending, performing repetitive motions, and lifting at least 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation.</li>\r\n<li>Capable of tolerating dust, animal dander, and normal farm odors and noise levels while using personal protective equipment (PPE).</li>\r\n</ul>\r\n<p><br></p>\r\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">What you’ll get:</span></p>\r\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">BARRICK FAMILY FARMS</span><span> </span>offers their employees outstanding pay with full benefits including medical plus HSA contribution, life and disability insurance, retirement, vacation, sick and holiday pay all in a NEW, state of the art, clean, professional, flexible, team focused environment.</p>\r\n<p><br></p>\r\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">About Our Company:</span></p>\r\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">BARRICK FAMILY FARMS</span><span> </span>is a managed company of Protein Sources, LLP which provides production and financial management services for farrowing and grow-finish swine operations in the upper Midwest.
